I really want to like this, but…

At least for Japanese, the quality control is abysmal, and for all languages, the order in which vocabulary is arranged seems random and haphazard.
As a concrete example, i found the word 眼 in the advanced/upper intermediate section, which is baffling. “Eye” is beginner vocab.
The app offered only one pronunciation, “me”, but literally ALL THREE of the example sentences were pronounced differently. Two were pronounced “manako” and one was pronounced “gan.”
This wouldn’t be as much of an issue if they included these accurate pronunciations or if the furigana matched, but the furigana says “me.” Is a human quality checking this? Like, come on.
Do better. This is a great concept, but there’s no excuse for putting out stuff with such blindingly blatant errors.

AMAZING! I really love how natural the vocabs feel, compared to Duolingo of random words. Deserve more attentions fr!
Great Concept for Language Learning, But Needs Work

I found this app through a social media ad and love the idea—using real media clips to learn a language is smart, since that’s what we actually listen to and watch. It makes learning feel more natural and engaging.
But while the concept is excellent, the app needs some serious fine-tuning.
What Needs Improvement:
Transcription Accuracy: Some clips are missing filler words or important parts of the sentence. That’s a big problem when you’re learning a new language and trying to train your ear. In some cases, the words shown are just plain wrong.
Clip Timing: There are clips where the sentence you’re supposed to focus on starts in the middle of the audio. That can be really disorienting for learners and adds unnecessary stress.
Unclear Feedback Tools: The heart and thumbs-down icons aren’t explained. Does thumbs-down mean I didn’t understand it, that it was a bad clip, or that I found it annoying? Does the heart mean I liked it, or that it’s worth reviewing again later? If you’re going to include these features, there needs to be clear guidance.
Reporting Options Are Too Vague: Right now, if you want to report a clip, your only options are things like “bad clip” or “inappropriate.” That’s not specific enough to be useful for quality control or user support.
Needs More Guidance: A short guide or tutorial would really help—something that explains how the app works, how the AI evaluates you, and how to use the feedback tools.
Bottom Line:
This app has huge potential for language learning, but it still feels like a beta version. A little more attention to the user experience and accuracy would make a big difference. I’m rooting for it—just hoping for some updates soon.
Helpful, but some odd bugs. Developer please help!

I like the ability to review. The clips from K-Dramas are ridiculously short (maybe 1 second at most), but that’s not really a big deal as the essential is being able to hear the words and then identify them in written form and understand the meaning. Multiple choice questions have three choices plus “I’m not sure”. It would be more effective for multiple choice if there were a couple more viable options each time. When testing spoken language (I’m learning Korean), I’m not sure how reliable the scoring is. I usually get 100%, though I’m sure my pronunciation is iffy. On the other hand there have been times when I cannot get it to understand a word no matter how many times I repeat it. Not sure why. My main issue is that there is a weird bug: sometimes I’ll complete a lesson or complete a review and I’ll land on a screen congratulating me for completing something, and there is no way for me to leave that screen to go back to the main menu and move on to the next review or lesson. It’s a complete static image, and the only way to get past it is to shut the app down and restart it. It’s annoying. I’ve also had it hang up when I’m doing a review and I ask it to check my dictation, it just freezes. No way to get past except to quit and restart.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Several months ago I downloaded the app to test it out and see if I liked it after 2 days i realized it wasn’t for me I didn’t want to delete it until the support reached out and said I was in the all clear so I waited no one reached out then I was charged every few weeks I was reaching out nothing happened because their back end appears to be a mess. Please save your self the stress of dealing with this app and I would say the only use this if you are absolute beginner a1 not intermediate
Good option vs Duolingo

Some glitches where the app times you and doesn’t give you the next objective but it keeps the countdown timer moving without giving you next objectives

i really enjoy the concept of this app and seeing real usages of the words in clips. however, i have issues with some of the features. i am doing it in french and the oral tests will regularly transcribe such that you can never get it correct, even if you are saying it right (eg putting a number numerically instead of in word format so it will never match). there’s also just a bunch of random bugs, like the audio clips playing several seconds late sometimes. overall, i think the price is a bit steep for the current state of the app
The best way to learn!

There is something about seeing a real world situation where the language is used that makes the learning that much more relevant and sticky. It is much better than learning words and grammar taken out of context. This fills that void, so I think it is really good! Probably not as a standalone program, but in combination with others.
Accuracy Issues

Selected French, Beginner 2. The lesson played a clip of “j’adore ton bureau”. Clicking on the individual words, the word “ton” card had an icon to speak that specific word. The pronunciation was “bureau” which is not the way to pronounce “ton” of course. So there’s accuracy issues. As a semi-beginner I need to be able to trust I am being given the correct pronunciation, or it could actually hurt my learning.
