My husband and our friends always have a hard time choosing healthier restaurants that everyone can enjoy and ticks all the dietary boxes, so I was very excited when I got an ad for this app. Everything in my area is red and yellow- all very obvious spots like McDonald’s and other fast food establishments. Great, thanks SOS 👍🏻 I guess most of the issue is there needs to be more people on/utilizing the app for it to be worth the money. Until then, definitely not worth the $37 the essentially con you into paying to get a free trial. Crazy. Just another abandoned app to collect dust lol. Hope y’all put the $37 to good use! 🫶🏻

I downloaded and agreed to the trial of this app which you were forced to sign up for a trial if you want to see how it works... I think the concept of this app is great however I found that lots of restaurants around me are not even on the maps and most aren't rated and the ones that aren't rated appear just to be unreliable comments from other users. This app is probably more useful if you're somewhere like San Francisco . Perhaps they could partner with another established company that has a database of all the restaurants out there in market themselves better to persuade restaurants to provide details so they could be verified. I would love to have an app like this if I trusted it and saw that it had a lot of good data .

Asks a bunch of questions up front, and then won’t even let you look at a map or try anything out without signing up to pay for it. Apparently cancelling the free trial is very difficult and can’t be done thru the app.

Tons of questions to answer to just find out it’s 34 dollars a year!

i don’t know how this has 17K 5 star reviews. the app is very clunky, hard to use, and i mostly regret my purchase. The UI looks like something made by a high schooler and the UX is even worse. It has all these filters that are basically useless meanwhile missing the one thing I would think most users actually need. Maybe it’d work well if you lived in LA or NYC or some other big city where there might be dozens of seed oil free options but in orange county California (suburban but probably one of most health conscious counties in the country), my options are surprisingly very limited. I don’t care about filtering by cuisine type or coconut oil vs tallow (the app doesn’t appear to have enough contributors to answer these questions anyway) i just want to be able to filter by “dine happily” (ie no seed oils) but this filter literally doesnt exist. So instead I have to click around 1 by 1 and zoom in on the map to wad through all the “dine shamefully”s (lots of seed oils) cluttering my view only to find that most of the “dine happily”s are a coffee shop or açaí bowl place. It literally took me like 15 minutes to find an actual restaurant that was seed oil free the first time i used the app and it was so annoying i havent gone back to even try again (i will have to wade through all the junk i’ve already seen to try and find another gem). Worse yet, login is based on apple id so i cant even allow my wife to use my account. Overall, I will not be renewing my subscription next year unless SOS can fully overhaul their UI and UX. this is a huge market opportunity that SOS is totally fumbling. hopefully someone else will come in and do this well (maybe Yelp will add a simple filter) so i dont have to pay $35/year for blueballs.

Such important information should be free. You are keeping access to a healthier and happier life away from people that can’t afford another subscription.

Your app recently said I would get a free trial and be charged after 7 days, but it charged me immediately— can you fix this? You have no customer support number or email.
  • No free option

You have to pay to view the map. There’s nothing free on the entire app and you have to go through 5 minutes of set up to figure that out.

It’s becoming more and more clear that seed oils are a horrible thing for us to be consuming. With that being said….we need to come together and continue to bring awareness and attention to places that actually care about our health and well-being!
