This app is just pure junk. It forced me to pick my birthday as 2/2/2025. Garbage, fix your game

Campfire is meant to be a way for players of games like Pokemon go to get together and complete raids when IRL friends aren’t available. While this could (and should) just be baked into the game itself, campfire sets out to accomplish this. It fails. If you would like to host a raid using campfire, no one will join and you will wait for minutes on end to find out. If you would like to join a raid, you’ll find one rather quickly, but campfire will then take minutes to find other players only for the raid to expire. Put simply, this app Is a waste of time and not worth it for the EXCEEDINGLY rare times it functions as it is supposed to.

Hate the way this app automatically launches when you try to check out the little map in Pokemon Go. I just want to see what's near by real quick, and I can do that without this app installed. However, if the app is installed I can no longer use that map feature in Pokemon Go. I end up just deleting this app, and reinstalling it when I occasionally need it. Definitely undermines the community element. Probably why this app seems so dead. If they didn't force it to launch when its not needed, I bet they'd have a more active community since more people would leave the app installed.

You would think for a franchise as big as Pokémon they would have a built in function for finding groups. Unfortunately, you have to use this app for Pokémon Go and it barely functions. Wasted hours trying to get into raids and was not able to host a raid after trying daily for months. Insultingly bad system. Do not waste your time.

Do NOT download this app. Downloading campfire can cause significant account issues with other Niantic apps. Customer support will NOT be helpful. Avoid this App!

No way to select raids you want spend the whole hour just looking for players because it takes 5 people to join where most only need 3 or 4 people to complete it’s a cool concept yet when you spend hours just looking for a raid it’s useless to use

Literally every time there is any GMax or DMax event every power spot on the map breaks thinking that’s what they will be forever. Seriously, check after any max out Monday or any GMax release ever and you will see they are never going to be accurate. Like even the worst weather forecaster from fairly odd parents could do a better job.
