    App doesn’t work as intended and the widgets don’t work, I even paid the subscription fee of $21 tried working with them about what was wrong and they did nothing about it, worst experience ever.

    Handy IS what it claims to be, an Indie themes marketplace. And you CAN simply pay individually for themes you want. And like most marketplaces, anything worth having is going to cost you. But if you want the ones advertised, created by the Handy creators, you’re going to have to get past the JoyClub paywall. Immediately after opening the app for the first time I was told all the cool things I could get and then prompted to pay a $30/year subscription to JoyClub. I exited and was then immediately offered a $20/year ‘deal’. When I exited that and clicked on a widget, I learned I could also get the subscription for $8/week. Except….. as I was writing this, I came across a tiny gift box in the bottom right corner of my screen, which offered me a lifetime membership to the JoyClub…for $20. It has raving reviews on the App Store, or so it would seem. All their featured reviews are from 1-2 years ago. Anything recent is 1 star all the way, citing broken widgets, login issues, transaction problems, and more. Normally after a preliminary look through an app, I would go ahead and buy a subscription to learn more, but I feel like I’ve seen enough. Just from the randomly changing subscription options alone. While it’s true that there are no Stardew Valley widgets out there, I feel like this one would only disappoint you in the long run. (Also it’s just usually a giant red flag when an app uses protected IP. I also saw Pokémon, Kirby, and Hello Kitty. It’s like they’re begging for a C&D letter) Save your money kids! Run away!

    i came to this app from an instagram ad that showed several cool things, like having an ipod on the home screen for music and pokemon in the dynamic island. except, if you try to add any of that, you have to pay a monthly subscription. it’s a cool idea, but don’t waste your time if you think the ad featured any form of free content. big time bait and switch, plus monthly subscriptions are the modern day plague so it’s very disappointing to see it’s the only paid option.

    One of their pop up ads for a subscription came up with the prompt “$.36 a week” which would’ve resulted in $1.44 a month or $17.28 a year. I signed up and didn’t realize until now that I was charged the full $20 for a regular year subscription NOT being charged weekly or even the discounted price they promised i can’t find out a way to contact support or how to even work this out.

    You pay subscription time for a few low quality widgets that may or may not work. The other items that are higher quality need to be bought and cost around $4-$10 depending.

    You can either use some of the basic free options they offer you or if you were to pay 8$ a week or 20$ a year you can assess their other "free" options but ofc you have to "PAY" for some of those free features
