Simply Sing: My Singing App

I raided a one star because I’ve been trying to sing a song, but it wouldn’t let me get on it and stuff so now I am mad and updating this to see what it’s going to happen next I hope it’s not a scam

So like many of you, I saw the ad on social media, where people find their vocal range by doing the exercise in the intro of this app, and that part was great. After that the app just kind of completely falls apart. There was no real training or teaching anything past the intro I paid for the subscription which is the only way to access songs, and then you have basically two modes a karaoke type of mode or then there’s a Feedback mode. with the Feedback mode which is the only one that would actually beuseful as I’m not a good singer but it fails to be in any way beneficial. If you are looking to improve your singing it would be extremely difficult as it. does not accurately or efficiently hear your voice the latency in responsive enough time is massive and I have a hard time getting it to respond at all to the microphone most times. It seems like there’s an issue with the app as far as that goes. It often times will pick up the speaker of the phone and the recorded voice back into in the microphone which would obviously skew results now clearly headphones would be the ideal way to utilize something like this, but I often try to use this app when I find myself with a few extra minutes somewhere and not sure what to do and I have no ability to make use of headphones this, just a basically a bad version of a guitar hero style scrolling karaoke app for your voice one that doesn’t respond to the microphones input. There’s a massive latency if there’s any response at all from the microphone into the app when is tracking your notes in the Feedback mode. This becomes an expensive and pretty useless app after the intro which is free, so get your vocal range with that part which was amazing but they need to include more instructions and more training type functions that resemble the intro you to be able to actually improve. App definitely needs work if you have a case on your phone it further effects the ability to use as the microphone input becomes even less responsive. 1/5 stars great idea poorly executed. Would consider revising review if the app improves, or if through continued use my voice improves but for now it’s pretty much hot garbage and not worth anything, I would be very hesitant to even spend $4.99 for a lifetime subscription to this as is, and at moment paying 12$ or whatever it was monthly is absolutely untenable.

I am fine with apps that give you basic functionality for free, then require you to subscribe for full functionality. This app claims to be free to download, but you can only go through the intro for free. To even try one song you have to commit to a $15 a month subscription or subscribe for an entire year for $60. I am not doing that just to find out if I like it it.

It seems very nice when your going through the whole vocal range quiz thing, until you realize you have to pay for it. Like serious I finished the quiz so I tried to sing blank space by Taylor Swift when I realize I had to pay for it and I thought it was just that song until I tried every single song and you have to pay for all of them.

I thought this was going to be a great app from the ads, but i was wrong. It was fine at first, besides the fact that the finding my vocal range was kind of embarrassing since my family is home (i didnt really want to yell wooohoo and hey hey hey really loud).Then when i tried to sing a song it made me have to buy a subscription.horrible app.

So I download this app and I learn I was trying to sing one of my favorite songs and my favorite song would not pop up

They were getting the wrong pitches and almost every son I saw or liked was premium!!!

Other than the intro, there is not a single thing you can do for free

I cant play a single song it doesn't even give the option to do something with adds. If you are willing to pay the subscription price this app may work out fine for you. But its a waste of time to install this if you are not willing to pay the subscription price which is like $12.99 a year and i would even pay 0.99 cents a year so this did not really work out for me.
