Even when I change the the display settings on my phone I can’t get the app to display the kanji larger. Tiny and hard to distinguish.

I enjoy the app :) I like the variety of categories. I wish I could see the list of words that I have learned within each category. You can see the list of all the words you have learned but all the categories are mixed. I would also love if the app had a dark mode. The white light can be harsh. :)

Don’t trust them, they say you get 7 days of free trial, and they will notify you before your free trial ends before charging you. I was charged on the 6th day and did not get any notification about the free trial. There is no manage subscription button in the app to manage or cancel your subscription, the restore purchase glitches the app and loads forever. I tried mailing them twice, no response, I can’t get a refund from the App Store too even though I got scammed.

I signed up for a free 7 day trial and my card was immediately charged the full amount. I have attempted to contact the developers several times and not received a response.

Don’t sign up for the trial. Even if you cancel before the trial is up it will still charge you $80. Not only that but this is a terrible way to learn Japanese. Stay away from this app.

This app starts by having you fill out a long form, getting you excited to learn Japanese. But at the end, they only offer one free day—provided you subscribe with your credit card. They’re banking on you forgetting about it, and then they charge you $79 for a year plan. I find this kind of predatory model unacceptable. I deleted the app immediately and wanted to share my experience so others don’t waste their time like I did.

30$ for subscription and no refund for accidental purchase.

After a few minutes on the app after having spent several months now on another language learning app I can say this is not a good app for beginners whatsoever. The app does not break down the individual kanjis, hiragana, or katakana. It throws words at you and you just have to hope to learn. Another issue is the speech recognition. In my other language app the speech recognition is far better and actually picks up what I say, and in both translation apps I have on my phone the speech recognition is also far better. I have nothing positive to say about this app. Hope to stop seeing adds for it.

I discovered this app after it was advertised on Instagram claiming it was for free, so I wanted to check it out because I’m learning Japanese. But after I finished answering some questions, I was forced to do a 7 day free trial. At least free apps like Duolingo don’t force you to pay for a free trial.
