I really enjoy the portrait mode gameplay, the fan service, and especially the funny, lighthearted events. I am very glad heavy gore is NOT allowed on mobile; it’s not necessary for a good game.

Theres a bug that according to reddit has been on and off in the game for the past two years. When attempting to get to the outpost it gets stuck on 0% loading. Ive done everything possible to try to fix it, even contacted support but they just keep copy pasting the standard “thank you for your feedback” response instead of actually trying to help me. If you get this error too, be kind to yourself and uninstall the game, don’t spend days trying to fix it like I did.

BEST GAME EVER

So one time i went on NIKKE to play it. And the game finished loading. BUT THEN IT AKSED TO ME MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT. BUT I ALREADY HAD A ACCOUNT, AND WHEN I TRIED TO DO IT, I PUT IN MY EMAIL AMD PASSWORD, BIT IT SAID OT WAS INCORRECT. AND I PRESSED THE FORGOT PASSWORD BUTTON, BUT WHEN I PUT IN THE CODE IT GAVE ME, IT DODNT WORK IT SENT ME TO THE LOG IN BUTTON AMD I PRESSED IT BUT EVERYT8ME WJEN I PRESSED IT, IT MADE ME DO VERTICATION. AND I KEPT PRESSING IT, BUT OT FROSZE AMD MY IPAD BACKGROIND TURNED BLACK. AND IT WENT BACK TO NLRMAL BUT I STILL CANT LOG IN. AND I LOST ALL MY PROGRESS!!! PLEASE. FIX. THIS. IF THIS ISNT FIXED, IM NEVER GONNA PLAY THIS GAME AGAIN! I ALREADY DELETED IT SO MY SCREEN WILL STOP BECOMING BLACK. Update: I downloaded the game again and tried it. I STILL CANT DO IT!! I HAVE TRIED A.MOST 5 TIMES ALREADY. IM NOW EVEN MORE SAD, AND I AM CRYING RIGHT NOW!! PLEASE FIX IT! Update: I FINALLY GOT IT!! Update: it happened again. At this point I’m gonna restart.

2+ years later and the gameplay loop is still extremely repetitive, dailies have only been cut down from roughly 15 minutes a day to maybe 13. English voices are actively getting worse, with new voice actors not fitting the characters, reading the voice lines lazily, or old character voice actors getting replaced with worse ones, e.g. Viper, Scarlet, etc. New collab upcoming is literally just Evangelion again when the last Evangelion collab bombed hard. If you care for the character appearances and 'physics' those have also been getting worse, with new characters being more covered up and having almost static physics while in shooting pose. The only saving grace is the story and even then that has also gotten worse, with the Commander (the player) going from a pretty active role to an almost entirely passive one where he is frequently now made the butt of some joke. Even the event stories are now dreadfully boring with incredibly obvious plots where you can predict what will happen from the beginning. Nikke seemed like it was going in an interesting direction after year one, but has seemingly decided to stick with what's safe and not dare to rock the boat too hard by expanding on the gameplay loop or adding more content that is not simply more towers, more simulation room, more raids, etc. I want to like Nikke so bad, but playing essentially the same thing for two years, 15+ minutes a day has burnt me out on it. That's just dailies and events btw. By the time I finish dailies my will to continue playing has been drained away. Maybe if Nikke improves dramatically I'll come back, but at this point I doubt it. It seems they're content to just keep cruising on the same path they're on. My review is over, but if you're interested in Nikke for the surface level (how the characters look) there are some other gachas I can recommend you try for that. Browndust 2, Azur Lane, Snowbreak, and GFL2 are some I'd point you towards off the top of my head. Some of these gacha also don't really innovate with the gameplay, with Browndust 2, and Azur Lane as examples, but those two are very generous with actually getting new characters, so if that's what you're interested in go ahead and try them out. If you want to try a 3d gacha with appealing characters, try Snowbreak. It won't be for everyone, but dailies are incredibly fast, and the gacha is semi generous, with you usually getting a guaranteed banner character every other patch, and the devs give out selectors and free new characters every so often. I don't have much to say about GFL2 since I haven't tried it much, but if your interest in gachas is due to appealing looking characters, then GFL 2 has plenty of them. Whatever you play, have fun with it, even if it ends up being Nikke.

Only wish is that drop rates were better other than that great game! 🖤
