I have no problem if an app wants to me to pay upfront to use it. But don’t pretend to be free (or freemium) and then on launch have popup that cannot be closed that basically says you have to pay to use the app.
Not let you even try it with subscription

Im looking for a Mac html editor, dowloaded the program, but forces you with popup to either subscribe or close the app. Would have been nice to try it out. Even though it says you can download, you can’t use it without subscription

This was a great editor. Unfortunately it seems that it’s not free anymore - a popup ad for the pro version covers the screen shortly after opening it and can’t be dismissed. I can’t justify $4 a week for something that was mainly a hobby, but for professional devs who work primarily on their phone/tablet it could be worth it.

This software works great, until you close it. BECAUSE I TRIED OPENING IT AGAIN and it gave me a pop up for the pro version and would not let me exit it. THIS POP UP DOESN NOT GO AWAY!!! Please remove this because I can’t use it anymore and not paying 4 bucks WEEKLY!!!!! (Sry for any excessive raging)
