  • HIGHLY DUBIOUS “sleep study”, battery drain, unnecessary time-wasting features

The app is cute and the visual design meets typical Nintendo standards, but everything else about it is HIGHLY DUBIOUS. I really only wanted the sleep tracking feature without any of the other unnecessary features. It might just be the tutorial, since I had to waste I don’t remember how long to go through collecting all of the Pokémon in different “sleep positions” (that don’t match your own sleep positions at all), and then go through feeding them, when I really just wanted an analysis of my “sleep study” - which is HIGHLY HIGHLY DUBIOUS - what the “sleep analysis” actually seems to be is the following: 1) recording the length of time until you hit the stop button 2) making a random “sleep graph” with squiggly lines based on this length of time 3) assigning different squiggles to sleep phases - and then requiring you to repeatedly download HUNDREDS OF MB of HIGHLY DUBIOUS “sleep songs” every time you advance to the next territory on the map - which are actually really annoying and unpleasant noises and would keep people up, not put them to sleep. At the same time, they record sleep noises (HIGH BATTERY DRAIN) - except what happened was they didn’t record my shifting and snoring sounds at all, even though this was recorded on the dB graph, but recorded me waking up from hotel housekeeping and turning the built in iPhone background noises for sleep instead - and then this completely stopped the app until I manually stopped the sleep timer hours later. So I ended up with a dB graph of noises I made when I was sleeping (none of which were recorded under sound files - only when I woke up) that completely stopped hours earlier before I stopped the timer, but a complete sleep phase graph - which makes no sense at all since the sleep phase graph is supposed to be based on the dB graph of noises you make when you sleep. It’s a great concept, but for some reason the actual sleep tracking functionality is highly dubious - apparently the budget went to unnecessary Pokémon collecting.
  • I'm begging you to make the transitioning animation shorter

It takes way too long to watch the transitioning animations of leveling up, using the skills, eating the food, going to sleep. For someone that purchased the pass, has been playing this game every day for months non-stop, these animations are really starting to annoy me to the point that I can't play anymore. I just want to go to sleep in peace without waiting for the animation to pass and feel suffocated. Please make some changes.
  • Good app but some flaws

I have been using the app daily and it works fine. The game/app is been improving but it still has some flaws. Too many "ok" buttons to press for small details. Additionally some sections of the games are slow can further be improved such as going into bag or Pokedex from home screen.
  • DESTROYS YOUR BATTERY

Do not download this app, it is destroying batteries. This app forces your phone to stay awake all night while you sleep. When your phone would normally go into battery optimization mode at night, this app prevents it from doing so. Within 1 year, my brand new battery is down to 86% capacity. Apple will not warranty your battery if you use this app, because you are WILLINGLY using an app that prevents the phone from optimizing the battery at night! You are voiding your own warranty and Nintendo doesn’t care, they won’t replace the battery on your device, because their app “doesn’t do that,” or they tell you to “buy the Pokemon Go Plus+” instead. So if you want to keep using this “free” app, you can either destroy your phones battery and void your warranty, or BUY their $55 accessory, which will STILL KEEP THE GAME RUNNING ALL NIGHT, it just does it in the Lock Screen and still puts a nightly drain on your phone, just not as massively.

I can hardly even open the app! I have signed in, but it won’t finish loading. I left it on for an hour.

This is literally the best app ever. I love sleeping with it as well as my poke plush. Perfect for mostly kids 10 and up.
  • Great game but I want to ask something

Nintendo, can you please make the Poké ball track sleep a little better for the weekly I’ve been getting because of the Poké ball. Can you fix that or something?
  • Great idea, needs a lot of work

Simply there is zero reason for an “always on” for a sleep tracking application. It should just work with airplane mode on and just share any data it needs to and get updates next time it’s on a connection. Maintenance modes are a hassle too because of the always on nature of what should be a offline capable app. Otherwise this is a fun way to track Sleep and get insight into sleeping habits.
  • Maintenance

I get blocked by maintenance from playing this single player game more often that most MMOs I’ve ever tried. Why does ipgrading your backend mean I can’t feed snorlax before i go to bed?

You need to spend A LOT of money to make any real progress. App is loaded with bugs. Complained to company they emailed me back basically said they don’t care that I spent hundreds of dollars on this game and didn’t receive some of the rewards due to bugs and lost premium items due to bugs. Did not give me a refund or the rewards that I paid for. They take advantage of peoples love for Pokémon.
