I was really excited to use this but I seriously don’t think I can use an app that doesn’t bother to support iPad in landscape view.

I’ve used my fitness pal in the past and when I went to download it and noticed that now you have to pay to be able to have the label scanner. So I kept looking around. Came across Jeff Nippards videos as I just recently got back into fitness, and was watching Jesse James west as well. Noticed they both used this app, and Jeff helped create it and I know he’s a science based lifter. So I gave the free trial a try, and from the jump I loved the look of the app. I could tell there were a lot more benefits in paying for this versus other apps. I highly recommend this app. Being able to see the calendar makes you stay disciplined to track your macros every day. Honestly didn’t want to pay for an app to track, but this one has been well worth the money!

I noticed my coached program was going too low on calories for my training so i went to change it to collaborative. For some reason no matter how many times I try it seems to ignore my protein/fat/carb tweaks. I want to just delete everything and start over, super frustrating. Nevermind, I kept tapping reset after changing one day thinking it would apply my settings to all days. Im clearly not as advanced as some users using this app.
  • Best Weight Loss Tool by Far

I’ve never left a review on anything before. MacroFactor is hands down the easiest app to count calories with. User interface/user friendliness could use some work, but no other app has come close to tracking and specifying the macros needed for the physique you’re trying to obtain. Here from Jeff Nippard with absolutely zero regrets. This will probably be the CICO tool I use for the rest of my life assuming only improvements are made.

Pops up under “free”. Allows you to sign up. Then you can’t enter the app without signing up for a subscription. If you’re looking for free, this isn’t it.

I’ve had an iPhone since 2008 and I’ve never left a review on the App Store until now… this app absolutely deserves it. The UI/UX is well thought out, intuitive, informative without being cluttered, and the scanning for barcodes/labels works like magic. As a Senior Software Engineer at a Big Tech company, I can only imagine the time, effort, and patience that went into building this product and I commend your team! Hands down the absolute best food tracker on the market!

If you were confused, this is an app by Jeff Nipard, the goat of fitness. This app is the best macro tracker out there because of how easy it is and because of all of the modern features. Your playing yourself if u don’t use it.

Apps like these are hard for me to use because they’re crowd-sourced and you’d be shocked how many people can’t copy and paste what they see on a nutrition label into an app. This means that the app is not just as easy as scanning a barcode because if the information presented is incorrect you then have to correct it or what’s the point of tracking something if the data points are incorrect? I understand that sometimes manufacturers can change recipes, etc. but this still becomes a pain in the butt. I never got to see how a check-in goes - I think the trial period is honestly too short to see if the app is really going to work for you, especially given the really high annual cost (and you can break it down monthly but it still adds up when every other app developer has moved to a subscription model plus all the other subscriptions in your life). I guess my feeling when it comes to these types of apps is that if you’re crowd-sourcing the data points from end users I find it difficult to pay for something where I’m doing the work. I want an app that just works with as little input as possible for me and I find that when this is the case I’m more likely to track consistently rather than when I’m constantly having to edit and add nutritional info that’s incorrect or missing. Again, the trial period is too short to make me feel confident about moving on with a full year and anything less is usually just not a good value so I’ll look around some more and maybe come back if I can’t find something better.

I recently started tracking my calories and macros diligently using MyFitnessPal, and it was a good experience. However, I've switched to a this app that seems to be on another level. It's smarter, and the layout is very appealing. I'm excited to see how this goes!
