    I wish I could love this. The messages portion of the app has never worked flawlessly. Nearly half the time I try to send pictures in messages (how we connect with and finalize custom orders with our buyers) I get error messages. Then the pictures will dump on my customer all at once, sending multiples. We pay quite a dear amount for Etsy to have sub-par performance. Also, the newest thing where we lost all traffic and sales because we didn’t have an ad campaign turned on for Etsy to take more money—it’s making me wonder if it’s truly worth the effort to use this platform.

    I haven’t been on Etsy very long as a seller - roughly 30 days. I also put my products up on Depop and Mercari. Within 30 days I sold 5 items on mecari and 5 on Depop but 0 on Etsy. I tried to pay for ads as recommended by a friend - this do nothing. Don’t use this app. Use another app.

    Whoever made the rule that the length has to be the longest measurement when posting an item is smoking crack. The length is completely independent of all other dimensions and can be whatever I want to make it. So if I put the largest measurement as the length just to follow y’all’s irrational rules (although it’s not actually the length) my customers will get an inaccurate representation of the *actual* dimensions of the piece.

    Buyer admitted they received the item and said nothing was wrong, but still filed a “non-delivery” claim. I provided delivery proof and tracking, yet Etsy refunded them because my carrier wasn’t “supported.” I didn’t even get a chance to respond to the claim, as it was refunded within a few hours overnight. Future sellers beware: if you don’t use Etsy’s shipping labels or supported carriers, you risk losing money and product unfairly. Etsy’s seller protections need serious improvement.
  • Annoying notifications

    Despite having notifications turned off, this app still sends notifications for random things. When I click on it, it just takes me to the normal app page. There’s not an option to turn these off and it’s so annoying. There’s also not any type of seller customer service offered through the app.

    I’m trying to set up my account to start selling, but I keep getting a notification at the bottom of my screen saying “this account does not have a shop associated with it” it being my email.. so how in the world am i suppose to set up a shop if I can’t even create/ log into this app… terrible app
