I’d give the app five stars if it also worked in portrait mode. I don't understand the point of its present restriction to landscape.
  • Great app, but missing something

The app needs some sort of backup/export option. If I’m going to commit to this app, i need to know that the information isn’t going to just die with the app when it is no longer supported. My wife and i are trying to write a book together and it would be nice to be able to export moments that matter. Would also be nice to have an option for multiple journals.
  • Therapist Recommended!

I am a therapist and downloaded this app to determine if I would recommend it to my clients. I recommend the same developer’s app called Bubb. Although I’d prefer not to recommend paid apps, this app is so simple and effective without the bells and whistles of other free apps I’ve tried. This developer is one of my favorite creators of easy ways to check in on your mental health.

This App has managed to make me feel more “ALIVE” again. Before my Depression became severe, I used to be an avid writer. Then, with my symptoms worsening, along came the “brain fog” of Depression. I could no longer maintain my thoughts. It has been devastating… And then I found the Thought Jots App! The selectable prompts are EXACTLY what I need to maintain my thoughts, and keep the writing flowing. I am so glad I found it, and HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!

They say conversation is sustained when there is a good flow of questions to help guide it along. This is exactly what this app does. It brings out thoughts you might not have otherwise externalized. It is surprisingly intuitive and fun to do! Journaling has always been a challenge but this app makes it a no brainer and a therapeutic exercise. Once you start flowing, you won’t be able to stop!

One of the biggest barriers for me when it comes to picking up the excellent habit of journaling is how to get my entry started! ThoughtJots has this cool feature that lets me rotate through some ways to get the ball rolling!

ThoughtJots prompts you with helpful and easy questions to reflect on what’s happened throughout your day. As a non-feeler, it also helps me get to in touch with my emotions. Highly recommend for anyone looking to journal and reflect!
