looks a lot like Gcal but need a few more add ons before it can compete with other established ones like the search function. I understand the color categorization is a paid feature which is fine. Can you make the iPhone widget with a smaller option 2by2? The 4by2 takes a lot of real estate when we just want a snapshot (or make 3 size options) - for those reasons not able to fully abandon gcal yet.

Finally! Thank u so much. A little more variety especially a list of upcoming appointments would be nice but yay it's a start!

Now that the home screen widget is here. The app is complete.
  • Widgets a nice addition!

Lack of widgets have been one of the reasons that I haven’t sworn off icalendar altogether. These are a nice addition to my Proton calendar. However there is room for improvement! It would be great if I can see my entire current day’s entries listed in the large widget instead of one or two entries and then a plus sign. There’s a lot of empty space that could be utilized.
  • New widget option 01/23/25

While the widget is an awesome new feature and I want to use it every day, there is a big problem with it syncing up with the actual proton calendar. I would add or remove and item for the same day and the widget would not update even after removing and re adding the widget and even hitting the synch button. Update: after uninstalling and reinstalling the calendar app the widget works
  • Won’t fix: Events synchronization Error. Response Error.

Updating all events on a repeating event results in a “Events synchronization Error. Response Error.” Many times I have to delete an event and recreate it. I’ve filed bugs but the result is always the same. They make it as difficult as possible. They want you to do a video capture, or screen shot, and do all this ridiculous stuff. They also updated the ios min. version to require ios 16. This issue has existed since the app has launched.
  • still unusable No facial auth

Edit:been asking since before released. Still no bio auth, still cannot launch from within mail and leverage mails auth. Makes calendar worthless and unusable. I am not entering my 25++ char pwd to look at a calendar. Please STOP adding cutsie features and make it functional first. Love proton. Paying cust for many years. Why they refuse to leverage their auth already in use for mail with calendar is beyond me, makes the app unusable. Sorry guys.
  • This is half-baked

I was unable to import my Google Calendar to this. I got an error message: "The maximum file size is 10 MB" (for the .ics file). That means this calendar is really good for nothing. The calendar integrates with Proton Mail, period. Proton has a nerve releasing such a half-baked product.
  • Great App, Just One Suggestion

Regular Protonmail user here. The calendar app works well for me. But would it be possible to make the smallest of the three widget options available? On days that I don't have any events, there is no need for me to see the "create a new event" button. I really like the minimal look of iCal and GCal's small widget. It takes up the least real estate on my iPhone screen. The medium widget screen is too large since I do not always have events coming up.
  • No Duplicate function

I’m currently switching over to proton platforms from google platforms, but one thing that I am kinda bummed about with Proton Calendar is that there’s not a duplicate function yet. It’s making it more time consuming to lay out my work calendar. I hope that a Duplicating function is added soon.
