Irritated that I wasn’t told appslice was shutting down; I know they had my email because that’s how I got alerts. Can’t access my wishlist that was many years in the making. Also, now we have to pay to get an alert on an in-app purchase price change; doesn’t this kinda defeat the purpose of trying to save money? Feels like loyal users of many years got abandoned then told to subscribe to get what they once had. New app is messy and confusing. I’ve tried for months to like this but, just don’t.

I really miss AppSliced. This is no replacement. They don’t even have a Mac or web version. I used to go to AppSliced daily. It’s sad that it’s now gone. There’s no replacement. Hopefully someone will come up with one.

In the app it says you can get a 1-month trial, the. $1.99 a month. However when you click to start your trial the App Store reveals it’s actually a 1-week trial. I don’t think a lot of care was put into to this app.

  • A True Companion To The App Store

Sure, you know about the deal tracking, finding out about apps on sale and all that. But AppRaven is so much more than that, it is a true companion for the App Store. It allows you to see price history for all apps and their IAPs, so you can figure out if now is the right time to buy for you. It also has a wonderful community of people commenting on apps and reviewing them—and unlike the App Store, you can have discussions on these comments about the apps. There are also a number of groups that help you find apps you’re looking for or even TestFlight links. Downloading this is a no-brainer. Check it out!

  • No InApp Purchase tracking

So far app is pretty robust but the inability to not track/give alerts on discounts with in-app purchases is a critical oversight. Many apps appear as free only to have a $30 in app purchase. The app shows the price history but won’t let you watchlist these items despite $40 price being discounted to $16 not triggering an alert. Video game apps particularly need these purchases to fully function. I’m also running into frequent crashes but that isn’t as frustrating as the missing in app purchase discount notifications.
