FEES GALORE. SCAM APP. FOUNDERS HAVE ZERO INTEGRITY.

When you put money in, you will have to pay a fee. When you sell your collectibles, you will have to pay another 4%-8% fee. Then when you want to withdraw your money, you will be charged ANOTHER 10% fee of the TOTAL AMOUNT you withdraw. (You will also have to pay capital gains tax if you’re in the US, and in the OFF CHANCE that you ACTUALLY leave with a gain in profit from this app)
I would only suggest using this app if you ENJOY losing money. I joined in q1 2021 when the app was still in “beta“, before we had the ability to cash out. After the founders promised that cash out was right around the corner and stringing along the veve community for years, it finally arrived—but to our shock, there was a “temporary” 10% cash out fee put into place, with a minimum of 500 gems needed in your account to even be able to withdraw. I was one of the very few people who detested this, calling it a trojan’s horse, asking why would have to now pay more fees, after we were already paying so many fees just to put money into the app and trade? What are they even using that money for?? I was met with nothing but backlash from the community for this, saying “it’s necessary, it’s only temporary, JUST LEAVE if you don’t like it!” This is when I started to realize that I had been fully immersed into a literal cult. The community does not take constructive criticism lightly. Another one of MANY examples, is when veve “temporarily” banned transfers, which allows you to send your collectibles to friends and family for free. Veve’s claim was that it was to stop a “gem exploit” (gems are the currency you use within the Veve platform, everything is priced in “gems”, not USD) Well, now over a year later, transfers have still not been reinstated and veve’s excuse remains the same. When criticizing this, I was met again with cult-like backslash from the community, “WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE THEN? JUST LEAVE IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT!!” So I finally took their advice, and left. I sold all of my 700+ collectibles at the beginning of this year, and I have to say, despite leaving with less money than I came into the app with, I have been in a much better mental state. It took me leaving and watching with zero skin in the game to really grasp the true toxicity of the community, and how it can truly play an effect on your everyday mental.
It’s been 8 months since I’ve sold now, and I realize more and more everyday how much of a great decision that was. Due to the community finally waking up on the false promises of the founders, (i.e. no interoperability, trash MCP, little/no new features as promised, no veveverse— a heavily marketed ‘metaverse’ back in ‘20 that isn’t even being talked about anymore, “temporary” disabled transfers not reinstated, “temporary” cash out is now “permanent”, LOTS MORE) and the toxicity of the community, the prices continue to plummet.
Now, I wasn’t even going to leave this review, but after 8 months of watching from the sidelines, noticing things have only gotten worse for my friends who are still in the project, who continue to “hold out” on false hope and empty promises from the founders and community, I couldn’t find it in my conscious not to AT LEAST warn the newer people debating on whether they should join—to STAY FAR AWAY!! The founders have ZERO integrity, constantly reaffirming this on a weekly basis, and they do NOT have your best interest at heart. Another example of this is, thanks to the blockchain, we could see the transactions of the founders, which showed them to be consistently insider trading with themselves (collectibles that they HAVE NOT purchased btw), while at the same time denying our requests to get transfers back. So they can trade amongst each other, but we, the people who BUY these products, can’t?? Ahh, “rules for thee, not for me.”
If you do not heed this warning, unfortunately, you too, will find all of this out for yourself. It’s only a matter of time
Please take this advice—or don’t. But my conscious is now clear🙌
