I was so happy I was about to play my first song by journey then I got an add for the premium membership so I did what anyone would do and pressed the x and guess what, I never got to play. I can’t even go to the cord library. So now I only know Em and A9. WHO WOULD BY THAT STUPID MEMBERSHIP?

We pay for the bundle of all their apps. My family loves the piano one in particular. So we bought a junior guitar for my 8 year old to get her going on this guitar app. It’s so frustrating. She and I are playing RIGHT NEXT TO the iPad and the app is still not picking it up, especially the low E string. It makes the tuning super frustrating and halts her progress through the lessons. She’s already giving up!

I got Simply Guitar and I’m currently using my free trial. The issue I have is that it isn’t picking up my sound correctly and it’s really making me mad because I’m trying really hard to play and it isn’t helping me out. I know I’m playing the notes right but it thinks I’m wrong every time. Also a pay wall to get everything in the app is stupid. Honestly I’mma try to see what other apps can do. Don’t pay for this unless you can deal with the dumb paywall and the notes not being picked up well.

At first It was fun and helpful but buy the end of the first course you need to pay to move on and if you don’t you just get stuck there forever no free lessons just for the premium users

This game is horrible. I’m a nine year-old girl trying to learn guitar and it’s already hitting me with a full flight song after 15 minutes of trying to learn my first cord it’s horrible and it’s not going easy on me. They need to go slower and take it step-by-step instead of hitting me with the full song when I have only done 15 minutes don’t even know how to tune a guitar and it’s just horrible.

I got this to learn how to play guitar of course and then I thought I was gonna get the cheapest option of 7.99 or whatever a month and then it said it was gonna be 269.99 yearly but then I just straight up gave me the bill for the 269.99 and it hasn’t even been a month yet it’s good for what it is. Just be more careful. Don’t let that fool you and it’s still charged me, even though I deleted my account and canceled my subscription and it’s still charged me
  • Simply Guitar is simply trash

Simply Guitar didn’t teach me how to read any notes, because why would it do that? It just taught me how to tune, 2 chords, and then it tries to force me to pay to continue on the BASIC COURSE. All I want to do is learn guitar without paying every month! Also, $20 a month? Not. Happening. That’s insane. Also, I’d like to add the fact that the TUNER IS TRASH. If there is ANY other noise it chooses to detect that rather than the real guitar. In conclusion, Simply Guitar is insane for thinking they can get away with this. Edit: I wish I could get a tuner that works. The Simply Tuner is better, and you know what’s weird? It lets you play the songs! WOW SOMETHING MADE BY THIS COMPANY ACTUALLY LETS YOU DO SOMETHING!!! WHO am I kidding, I don’t use them anyway. It’s a TUNER. I’ve permanently changed to Fender Play and haven’t looked back. Just get that instead. Edit #2: I’ve seen some responses on some of these reviews from the company. If the review is complaining about the subscription thing like I am, they respond, if at all, with, “HeY sOrRy YoU’rE mAd At Us, LeT’s FiNd YoU a WaY tO pAy Us MoNeY sO yOu CaN lEaRn WiTh Us, BeCaUsE wE dOn’T wAnT tO lOsE a CuStOmEr To GoOd QuAlItY aPpS!!!” And also, I know Fender Play makes you pay after a bit, but at least they give you SOMETHING: 3 months free on their app (when you buy a guitar, but ok, at least their app’s actually good). And they have lessons that actually teach you useful stuff. So just give your money to someone who cares about teaching you stuff, and not a greedy company like this one.
