If your camera says to use this app then use it. It doesn't seem to be work for cameras not made for it (not made for IP cameras). Overall it works well. Does pan and tilt, turns on camera's light or alarm if it has one, streams video and sound via your WiFi router. Costs $5/month if you want to be able to stream it from anywhere. It is NOT IP configurable, doesn't do port forwarding. Video streaming can be set to SD or 2K or automatically switch between them. It features a form of night vision for better viewing in the dark (automatic or manually). It also has motion tracking which works very well and can be set to human or pet (or you can turn it off if you want). It can be used with multiple cameras, but only one camera at a time can be monitored with either an iPhone or iPad.

I’m not sure what happened in the recent update but the motion detection alerts have been changed to alarm trigger events and I’m getting four or five push notifications in a row in quick succession rather than just the one. It’s making me want to turn it off entirely.

Would’ve given 5 stars picture and video quality are great. Easy set up. Only problem as soon as I sign in, I’m kicked out. If I’m watching the video it sings me out and I have to sign back in. It’s every minute and I’m not staying logged in. Please fix this is my only complaint.

*** Update ***: The original review of 1 star caused a flurry of activity from the VicoHome team. They asked for and I provided a detailed account on how the problem I was having originated. Within hours an updated App was available that solved my issue. A great team to work with who clearly understands their App and the system it controls. *** Original ***: Easy would be a poor description of what it takes to setup this device. When I select the camera that it does find the app locks up. I tried deleting the app and then after downloading it again I cannot log in even though the account information is correct as I cannot create a new account because it says it already exists. Might be a good thing but support has been a no show for 24 hours.

All issues was resolved after lest update of the App. 3 stars because AI subscription is useless when you can still submit videos to ether Google Gemini or Microsoft CoPilot to get same results for free.

I use this to connect to a camera enabled for a hummingbird feeder. It captures everything BUT the birds!! Since the feeder sits on a swivel (provided with the feeder), ANY movement gets captured due to the slightest movement by the wind. However, I can see hummingbirds at my feeder and the camera doesn’t trigger. WHAT’S THE POINT IF IT DOESN’T CAPTURE THE BIRDS?!?!?! Also, the interface is slow and clunky and hard to locate features of the camera. The whole app could use an overhaul to make it more user friendly. Bottom line: it’s a nice idea, but execution and use of the app RUINS the entire experience!

I recently purchased a camera and it won’t send me any notification. I made sure that the app and firmware are up to date, as well as enabling notifications through the app and through Apple settings. I’m very disappointed in this. It also seems that other people are having the issues, per several Reddit threads. Don’t buy until they fix this issue.
