The entire premise of this game is for the developers to frustrate you so much that you will be willing to spend money to not be frustrated anymore. the only good thing I can say about this app is it has good music

I have been playing this game since the beginning and I used to love it. But now they are more focused on you spending money so you can finish these stupid event islands, which don’t do anything for the main storyline or help you on your home island. They make it extraordinarily difficult to finish and every time they put out a new island it takes more and more energy to finish it. They randomly give out bonuses, which are supposed to help you finish your event, but they are arbitrary as to when you will get them. I feel like a toddler whose food intake is being regulated. They keep cutting how much extra energy you can earn from presents found around the adventure Island and are making it more and more difficult to complete bonus games. I’ve become very disappointed with this game and how it’s moved to a very obvious pay to play structure.

I’ve been playing this game now for a couple of months and I truly enjoy it. It’s probably one of, if not my favorites and it’s very addicting in the sense that I look forward to the next puzzle challenge. However, I don’t like the fact that I have to spend money, which I never do you with any other game platform, in order to get enough energy to continue moving forward in the puzzle. I’m not talking rubies, or any of the extras, I’m simply talking energy to continue moving through the puzzle. I also don’t like the fact that when I am in a certain puzzle that I have to wait two hours or seven hours to claim my reward , which could be energy or having to watch an ad to get energy or receive my rewards. If I get to that point where I am presented with an opportunity to click on a reward, I should be able to receive that reward and not have to wait. This is where you have the option to wait seven hours to continue playing or spend money to continue playing. I also don’t like the fact that the cost for such items within the puzzle are so high that it eats up your energy and you can’t move forward until you get more energy. let’s not take the fun out of the game by having to constantly pay to move through the platform. Otherwise, charge to play the game so that people can actually play the game. I will continue playing Family Island, but I would hope that there could be some changes made to your platform after listening to your players suggestions.

This is a cute game! Entertaining and a bit distracting. I’ve played for some time to tell you that you can definitely do better though; it’s quite repetitive on the conceptual gaming play and the reward decor pieces for completing the islands are sadly useless. They hardly do anything at all or nothing whatsoever and my question was when this game actually have a full point on what you were meant to be doing, what they are having you seek for, or what they are rewarding you with once an island was fully discovered through. It can be a drag on adventure islands when it is noticeably sucking you dry of resources through and through. On some of these islands the energy cost is so high, I’ve got no idea how much energy someone did expel to technically pick something up (especially when it is technically a lightweight item), not only is it hit but how many you need to make one thing on one of the machines can be up to 9 and you’ll find yourself spending up to 800 energy points to make one thing from gathering. I also noticed another hip on the energy costs some of the pack sizes (idk how you refer to them) will be larger (as in you were meant to get more from chopping one down) but it goes almost x3 as much (example: there were some bagels on one of the islands that use 17 energy xp to collect one. For the double decker box that gave only two bagels (compared to one originally) it was 47 energy points use to collect it) I dislike that. I should have gotten 3. The unicorn hair is like 68 energy used in one island, but is 4 energy points used for some grass in others…I just simply wanted it to be cheaper before once I’d saw that from not being worth anything with it being docked to to grass right after (and I do mean right after. this one happened to me as an actually thing). those boosters do not last long nor do they pop up often enough. I’ll definitely say the energy boosters averagely knocks down how much one thing might cost in energy to somewhat realistic when it’s egregious as well as the gathering booster on how many you may get from one chop down compared to normal. There is a glitch though, unless intentional, where it is not always the same amount given when the gathering booster is active per chop down (and i think a few times when it wasn’t). sometimes with the larger sets you’ll get one to two less that some of the other ones despite being the same size on the item set you’re chopping down to collect resources, and only sometimes will it work on the standard resource, just not always. Sometimes it’ll randomly give a lot (like 8-9 itemary resources) I’ll also say the packs are quite pricey to buy and seldom good on what you get out of one, then wildly one is kinda cheapish only due to how much is in there. Overall the game is too expensive to successfully play. I wouldn’t complete this game personally because of it. With the mainframe of it being about the temporary island adventures that come up to play through (for sure on what’s to do in the game),and not building the home island, the family home island not actually being something you were meant to build up for any true purpose(not even survival can be fully listed as the reason) and the expedition islands being something that just happens to be a thing in the game (you completely know you can skip over it after hippo island) that has lots of resources on each to use for advancement (which is something you don’t do quickly no matter what and kinda was not necessarily helpful) I’d never completely the game in full. I can tell. I didn’t like that there was a lack on purpose of the expedition that didn’t do anything for the buildup. The level to which to be on to fully ever be able to rebuild the home island take pay (there aren’t enough expeditionary islands to have fully gotten you past about level 30; you don’t get enough XP (so far)). And the pay was to play the scamming adventure islands that allot you more useless items to have been handed to decorate (sorry I’ll admit I didn’t read full gameplay chatting maybe it’ll tell you what it was meant to do but the few I spotted were said to be decorations for the game) so if you just wanted to see a weird tikki torch island game build, look to other places. This one jips.

I just saw 256 gems for a bomb, seriously!! I’m in a FB group for this game, ppl are stopping playing the app! It was addicting, but now a lot of us are finding other games. There are so many other games out there. It’s fun at the beginning, but now it’s a waste of time.
  • Tedious

This could have been a game that held my attention longer but just logging in takes forever because you have to exit out of way too many offers. It’s so annoying. Then the challenges are the same they just have different graphics. Progress is incredibly slow because each item takes too much energy which regenerates too slowly. You have to pay to stand a chance at getting very far. It could have been fun but it’s actually annoying and boring.

I genuinely enjoyed the game so much that I reached out to several friends to play so I could gain extra energy. 100 energy for each and 50, 60, 70 rubies and so on for each that follows your link, downloads the game and plays to level 4. I had 2 that had followed to the letter and support wanted me to have them reach out themselves for me to get credit. Odd. While I was “chatting” with support about it, my daughter used my link to download and play to level 4 right beside me. Nothing. When I mentioned this to support, they completely stopped responding. It’s clear that there was no intention of giving the reward to begin with and I busted them in real time. Support online tells you to contact support through the app. A giant circle. My friends followed the ridiculous instructions and contacted support with the ticket number to try and help me to also get no response. While this is seemingly a small issue, to me it is beyond shady. It seems it’s just a lie to bait you into finding more players for them. Although intangible (300 virtual energy and 180 virtual rubies) you won’t see it because that would keep you from spending your real money. Gross! I hate liars. And, don’t respond for me to contact in app support…they’re the reason I’m here!
