Description

** Kids have earned millions in allowance, completed millions of chores and invested hundreds of thousands. “Since your kids probably won’t learn this in school, go to BusyKid and start teaching them now. This is a great idea! Check it out and get the kids on board.” Kevin O’Leary (Mr. Wonderful from Shark Tank) BusyKid is the ultimate app that will help your kids learn how to manage money by simply doing chores around the house. This is the first and only chore app that allows a child to earn allowance and decide how to save, share, spend and invest it. Think of it as the first job your child will have with direct deposit! Ideal for kids 6-16, BusyKid will help build sound money routines in saving, spending and investing in stocks. Within minutes your child can be earning money and taking care of responsibilities, instead of just sitting around watching TV, texting or playing video games. Highlighted Features: Chore Calendar—Similar to all mobile calendars, the Chore Calendar allows parents to set daily, weekly, and monthly chores, schedule any task on a future date, or arrange for chores to repeat. Parent Dashboard—One place where a parent can see what ALL the children are doing, earning, and spending. See the entire family or a single child with a single touch. Child Dashboard—The weekly allowance and balance of a BusyKid Spend Card are prominently centered at the top of the dashboard, but the page also includes the options to save/invest, share or spend any funds in the account. Activity Stream—Included in both the parent and child menus, the color-coded activity stream displays all the account activity for each day, as well as any money moved or spent by a child. Push Notifications—BusyKid uses push notifications to alert parents to specific activity and approval for weekly payday. Charities—Children have the option to donate their allowance to more than 20 charities that have joined the BusyKid family or to a charity of their choice. Why BusyKid: • One low price covers entire family • Quick set-up and fast motivation for children • Uses real money for paydays and bonuses • Assigned chores and activities based upon ages • Preset allowances based upon ages • Parental approvals via push notifications • Parental monitoring of all activities • Clearly displayed account balances • Automatic Payday each Friday • Parents can pay a bonus • No age limit for BusyKid Spend Card for in-store or online purchases • Children can invest in real stocks & follow kids stocks activity • Children can donate allowance to over 20 special charities or their own • Immediate and safe movement of funds between accounts SPENDING WISELY BusyKid gives children three ways to spend their allowance - GET CASH, BUY STOCK & BUSYKID SPEND CARD. PARENT CONTROLS Parents have the ability to approve all transactions when money is moved outside the BusyKid platform (donation, money to spend cards, request for cash) as well as every payday. However, we’ve designed the app to be a teaching tool where mistakes can be part of the learning experience. • Great idea - not so great execution

I loved the idea of this app. Linking to Stockpile set this app apart from the other chore apps. And that part seems to work fine. I keep having issues with my subscription getting cancelled. I only notice it when I try to pay my son and the transaction fails. History seems to have gotten lost each time my subscription is cancelled. It takes days for customer service to respond. Now looking st other options. Not worth the hassle and constant need to contact customer support.

I am extremely disappointed this app went wrong so quickly. They are in a ‘transition period’ and it has caused so many hiccups. Our money is missing and they have no real solution. Just blaming it on the new app and new website transition. When the app it worked it WAS great. Some user learning curves, especially on the kids’ side. But now I have cancelled my paid subscription. There are plenty of other and cheaper apps that work without stealing or misplacing children’s money. Ridiculous! Don’t waste your time.

This app is so simple to use! It’s a great way to track all your kids “to dos” with the best incentive...$$! All my kids use this everyday from ages 16 to 7. We love they all have their own debit cards!!! We love that each time they get their weekly allowance it automatically divides it up into their spend/save/share. You can customize all the settings so easily!

I am so sick of my kids always wanting my credit card like it is an Amex black card. No more mystery charges and I love what this products stands for. It is so nice to make them earn it now!

I was looking forward to using this app as I think it’s a great way for kids to learn the importance of money management at a young age. However when I went to request Visa cards for my kids, I was asked to provide my social security number via a non-encrypted page on the app as well as through their third party vendor Cliq. I was also asked to provide supporting documentation (copy of drivers license). Mind you I have credit cards from some of the larger financials firms in the country and never have I been asked to provide back up, as most background credit checks are done electronically today. Get that fixed and I will gladly use the service. Identity theft is real.

Amazing app. for parents to teach financial literacy. Our kids love the freedom that it provides. Our lives are much simpler as a result. No more running to an atm to get cash for the kids.

I gave 5 stars because I’m on board with the growth and improvements to come. Version 1 is 4 stars to me but I know of all the good things to come. It took a solid 4-6 weeks for me to get the kids dependent on the app. I had to stay diligent about giving them opportunities to earn money and then log their activity in the app. At first they were excited and then they complained about using it but I stuck with it and now they love it and are always asking for opportunities to do additional thinners aside from the weekly schedule I give them. I have been in the finance industry for 17 years and something like this is much needed. Version 1 is ok in terms of the User experience at best but I understand the main focus on version 1 was to offer the functionality to transfer money quickly from your account to the kids which is a big step and also to provide them a debit card that works anywhere. I have held them accountable to using their card, and understanding how it works. At 5, 7 and 10 yrs old they have already learned so much. They are proactively doing their homework 1st thing after school, eating at least 1-2 healthy choices per meal, brushing teeth morning and night without asking, keeping room clean, picking up after themselves, doing dishes 1-2 nights per week, etc. They build up throughout the week their earnings for their paycheck each Friday and I simply approve a text on Thursday to pay them. Definitely requires a roll from the parent but now I’m in the routine and already love the progress they are making. It’s essential in today’s world with work ethic being a thing of past generations and the lack of financial education in the system to teach our kids. I see where busy kids is going with this and look forward to future releases which I know are coming!! Big fan. Thank you for the effort to get it off the ground to this point which I understand it had to be a feat and financial investment to say the least.
