  • Drag and Drop Feature Not Working with GoodNotes !!!!

    1

I’ve recently encountered issues with the drag and drop feature not working between my MacBook Air and my iPad Pro, specifically with the GoodNotes app. This feature is crucial for my workflow, and suddenly, it just stopped working. Interestingly, the drag and drop functionality works flawlessly with Microsoft Word, so I'm led to believe this might be an issue isolated to GoodNotes. I've already tried resetting my devices but had no luck in resolving the problem. To the creators of Goodnotes has anyone experienced something similar, or does anyone have any tips on how to fix this? This feature is a true lifesaver for me, and I'm really hoping to find a solution soon. Thanks in advance for your help! This app was a g*d send up until this issue occurred. I even took my MacBook Pro to Apple and even they couldn’t figure it out!!!

Boycott the greedy scoundrels. This app is subscription only!
  • Scam reviews

All the 5 stars are either people paid to review it or old reviews from GN5, which was a gem of an app. This company is scummy, they delete comments from old users upset over the complete replacement of the GN 5 app on here, using the old reviews as fake ones for this new app. They also ignore their users, when polled for features they go amd add features that literally no one wanted
  • Amazing notebook, with a few limitations

The ease of writing, and the general design of the app are very nice. It is really useful for writing mathematics or taking language lessons, and in general taking notes and organising thoughts without having a ton of papers to organize and lug around. I will now write criticisms, I hope my user feedback influences the developers to support these feature requests, and make this app even more awesome! Limitation #1: Non-iCloud sync options are just for emergency backup, not syncing active documents between devices... Why cannot I have a two-way sync using a cloud storage option other than iCloud? I can only do cold backups to Google Drive, but cannot have documents sync between macbook and ipad without using the iCloud sync option. Why limit to only Apple ecosystem? Limitation #2: The handwriting recognition feature is very promising, and the recognition of english language handwriting is quite good. But as a product, a lot is lacking. Essentially, it is just to help search documents by keyword. I would expect to have a tab for each notebook that shows the OCR'd ascii text in full. Instead, I have to awkwardly select text with the lasso tool, and then long-press to find the "right-click" option to view the selected content as text. Basically a gimmick for anything other than search. Limitation #3: no handwriting recognition for Greek language. Why not? It is 2024 and handwriting recognition for several languages with 10 Million speakers are missing. The expansion of this feature would be extremely useful, not just for Greek which I personally am interested in, but for several language. Other services, such as Google Translate, recognize Greek language hand-writing rather well. Side note: The marketplace seems largely useless and gimmicky. Not sure why I would pay 10 dollars for a pdf of a yearly calendar or day-planner. Don't really see anything of value there. Maybe I'm wrong ?
  • Spellcheck

The spellcheck is absolutely horrendous. I’m using the typing feature and it can’t even spell environment right, after I finish a sentence the red underscore disappears so I won’t even notice it if I have to move on quickly. I hate how I can’t create a new lower number/bullet lists without adding to a previous one a few lines behind. And words don’t even wrap around inserted images. They just go behind it. All images have to be on the right side otherwise if I tab over too much it just starts a new line.
  • Frustrated that the app updated against my will from a version I already

Frustrated that the version I paid for was repleaced with a new version that I am being expected to pay for again—with absolutely no choice in the matter or ability to access Goodnotes 5.
  • This is not what I paid for.

This is not what I paid for. I would like a refund. I paid for Goodnotes 5, not 6, not 5 with 6 slapped over top of it so the reviews carry over. A lot of the reviews here are for 5, that's why such a high rating. Even in Version 6.3.14. My review still stands.

This program has become an important part of my daily life. I have a separate note book for each part of my life and that really help organize information. Then I bring every digital document that I need to keep into a big file structure so that I can be very organized for everything.
