This app has absolutely glaring weaknesses that can make it infinitely better. Radio silence on Johnson Outdoors part. Why built cutting edge products only to not optimize them? The app for the Cannon Optimums is not optimal.

The app crashes as soon as you connect via Bluetooth from your phone to the downrigger. Also, tried to connect via iPad and the iPad never saw the Bluetooth signal from the downrigger. Useless app at this point. Better get it updated and working before salmon season or I’m returning these Optimum TS downriggers. Was considering replacing my older Garmin gps / fish finder with a new humminbird solix, but I’ve lost confidence in this system.
