  • Canceled my number without my consent then lied about it

As an active duty, military member stationed long-term in a foreign country, Google Fi was recommended to me as the best long term overseas phone service plan. However that is not the case. They are incompetent and untrustworthy, way more hassle and stress than they are worth. I had to cancel my phone service plan with them because for months I could not get it to work at all and I would spend hours at a time with customer service people who would just redirect me and talk to me like I was stupid telling me that it was my fault it wasn’t working, when I would follow their trouble shooting techniques. All while still paying for the service that was not being provided, eventually I decided to just cancel my plan and in the process of trying to transfer my number over to my new phone service company. I was informed that they canceled my phone number without my consent and that was the reason my service wasn’t working so I was just paying for nothing for months and because I wasn’t able to officially transfer my number when I opted to cancel the plan. The plan didn’t even get canceled so that was another month that I paid for without any service. Which they neglected to inform me of.
  • Nothing but problems.

I made the mistake of getting Google Fi a week ago and since then ive had nothing but issues; SIM card not detected, having to do the set up multiple times just to have it stop working a day later. Problems calling international even when my plan specified that it can go international. The only positive is the customer service is helpful, and at this point I’m going to be on a first name basis with everyone who works there. Screw this thing.
  • I used to love this service

I have been experiencing drop calls from there own support teams. Calls would go directly voicemail. Also I ordered a phone twice through them and they had cancelled my order without noticed both times. I finally noted the out come using the order status. I had been waited on the phone over three weeks. I have been given false information from support team. It might be a good service if you require no support from the wireless support team and can accept few drop calls here and there.

I’ve previously had Google Fi on my iPhone 11 overseas because I’m military but now I have a iPhone 15 Pro Max with the unlocked ECM and it’s currently not working. I don’t understand what the problem is please help.
  • can’t mark voicemails as read

you have to listen to the entire voicemail for it to be marked. this despite the fact that it’s translated to text right there on the screen also can’t submit app feedback directly because the App Support button takes you to google’s bad website and worse customer support. that leaves the only option for support to write it here and rank this as a 1-star
  • Service doesn’t work, support takes weeks

They sent out a batch of faulty SIM cards. A lot of people have had issues—their phone says “no SIM.” Support takes a day to respond between messages. Huge headache

I was charged $78 for an unlimited number that must work outside of America. Now I’m in England, without communication and roaming (I’m using Wi-Fi) and the support has been responding for 24 hours. disgusting connection. just terrible

Everything was great I bought unlimited plus plan and after half of the month they limited my speed. I need to reload google maps 10 times to get direction. $70 for only chatting.
