I have tried to identify 3 plants. Everything it has come back with the wrong plant. There is nothing good about this app and I want my money back.

The “free” version gives u a water schedule. Uninstalled

I have appreciated this app, but now the “to do” lists are per plant, bot one list for watering and another for updates. I miss when all the plants in need of water were in one list. Also, the constant progress updates for plants that it prompts gets annoying.

So far 9 plants in and not one ID was correct. It may bring up the family but a dozen or more choices.
  • Haven’t even started using the app yet but…

I’ve been reading reviews and think it’s great how responsive the company is to user feedback! Will report back on my experience!

I couldn’t keep up with all the notifications. I’m glad I only have a few plants on this site, but it was enough to drive me nuts

Not easy to use, not intuitively friendly. The diagnosis for plants that aren’t well are what jokes about gardening apps or uninformed gardeners say, “Too much water or too little water. Repot or move plant. Fertilize as recommended.” And then they show which fertilizers you can buy through them. The App is highly reviewed and I’m glad it’s great for most people. But it sure didn’t help me or my plants. I cancelled yearly subscription. The App support team was responsive and courteous. Got money back.

It was literally trying to make me pay for every single attachment. The only thing I could use was water reminder.

I took annual subscription to start with. Idea was to get an app where I can upload current photo of troubled plant and understand issue and how to fix. But the app is just directionally accurate. The response did not help me any which way. For example my fig plant I noticed a fungi type (light brown, mushy, on stem and top soil). The plant is in direct sunlight inside house. All this AI and output was to give more sunlight. Also app seems to be focused more on adding plants than providing quick solutions.

I have 40 plants now, and planta has been so helpful in keeping them healthy and happy! They’re thriving now since I’ve been reminded to fertilize and when I go shopping for new ones, the identification section helps not only with telling me what it is, but also if there’s a good spot in my house for it and if it’s safe for my cats. I’ve been using premium for the two years I’ve had it and it’s totally worth it
