Description

LA Wallet will allow you to keep a digital representation of your current Louisiana-issued state ID or driver's license. The app will generate a unique image that is 100% Legal for driving purposes per Louisiana law of Act 625 of the 2016 session and approved by the Louisiana ATC for age-restricted purchases at various local restaurants, bars, and retail outlets. Once a user activates their current, valid license in LA Wallet, the digital driver’s license is valid for the life of the user’s current identity credential issuance. When the user’s physical license expires, they must renew their license with the OMV or through the LA Wallet app, if eligible. Additionally, LA Wallet offers the paid service VerifyYou™ Pro, an age-verification tool that helps keep businesses ATC compliant when offering home delivery of age-restricted goods.

  • Can’t add my license

    It keeps saying my license could not be found, so I can’t add it. My license is recent, valid, and nonexpired, so I don’t know why this is happening

    I scanned the barcode on my drivers license to upload it and I got an error message saying I had not entered all the necessary information. I contacted their help desk by email on December 18th. They admitted to a bug that was supposed to be fixed “soon”. It’s now February 5th and still no fix.

    Only info that shows is my CDL. My gun permit, or vehicles won’t show. It shows my old vehicle, which no longer is registered in the state and was even sold almost a year ago. The idea of this app is good, but functionality of it isn’t worth a flip.

    I recently went on my 1st ever cruise (I am 76) We went on an excursion in the Dominican Republic. As we are going back to the boat I discovered I had left my ID onboard. Panic Then I remembered LA Wallet! Thank God I had internet service It worked and I used in in the Virgin Islands and also to re-enter the good old USA

    Updated feature request: please add state parks annual pass! Having to carry around a paper card (not even laminated) all year in this day and age is frustrating. Great app. I love that Louisiana is getting with the digital times. It’d be great if I could add my DL to my Wallet. I’ve got all my other cards, just need my DL and I’d be all set.

    If you are stationed here and do not have a Louisiana license, don’t bother. Really inconvenient for AD military.

    I’m an adult, and there are certain platforms that need me to prove my age. It requires me to use LAWallet to verify my age through my driver’s license. Every single avenue in app I try to use straight up won’t accept my Illinois license. Scan feature? Doesn’t work. Manually putting it in? My card’s number is too long to fit and doesn’t have an audit number. Remote Verify? Doesn’t work. Nothing I do works, and I think it’s because of the state that I live in. Please let me use my Illinois license. Otherwise, this app is worse than useless.

    I made the mistake of updating the app and now my license and smart health card are now constantly spinning to update.
