  • Overall worth it

The background track and readers are on point. The experience can be glitchy. Some awkward pauses between verses. And misses some featured I would expect for it to have. For instance, I would love to wake up to scripture but there’s no option to have it set with an alarm. It lacks some user friendly items. For instance, how do I bookmark a portion of scripture to get back to it? Maybe this feature exists but it’s not easy to find if it does. Overall great app. Just could use some fine tuning.
  • Appreciate the Features, Concerned About the Content

I really appreciate the features of the Dwell app, especially the ability to make playlists, use CarPlay, and listen to Scripture throughout my day. These tools help me stay rooted in God's Word. That said, I have some concerns about certain parts of the app. As a Bible-believing Christian, I want to stay away from practices that resemble New Age or mystical spirituality. Some of the content, like breath prayers and Lectio Divina, feels more emotional or contemplative than scriptural. I’ve noticed a few reflections that shift the focus away from God’s Word and instead direct people toward experiences or inner impressions. I still use the app, but I intentionally avoid those sections. I would love to see a version of Dwell that focuses solely on Scripture readings, with no added prayer prompts or meditative practices. That kind of content would give users like me full confidence in what we’re hearing and sharing with others. Thank you for creating a platform that makes listening to the Bible more accessible. I pray that the content continues to grow in a direction that keeps God's Word at the center.

  • Almost perfect!!!

I really love this app, it’s absolutely incredible. The only thing is the audio is low even at its highest range. Compared to other audio bibles on other bible apps, there’s just something here that isn’t right. I’m no technical wizard, but I did try different settings in and outside of the app and it doesn’t SEEM to be user error. It seems to be just something you’ll need to accept. If there’s any pointers if the developers have any insight please let me know! I’ll come back with a five star!

Amazing app, the readers just bring so much warmth to my heart. It took me out of a rut and brought me back to God.
  • Dramatic reading gives scripture more life!

I like how each reading is distinct and filled with life, just another way to memorize theses passages
  • Well Intended But UI Needs Work

    By OptixbyZ
Something of this caliber should easily allow users to swipe or click between chapters. Having to exit out of my reading to go to the chapter menu and select the chapter I want from there is taxing. For example, if I’m in Proverbs 6, and realize I already read that and want to jump to 7. Shouldn’t I be able to just click straight to it? Or even swipe? Hopefully we can get an update to make switching between chapters more seamless.
  • I like this because you can learn about God in Jesus

It would be nice if you would add like more apps like this cause that would be really cool and make a lot simpler because my dad didn’t figure out something that I figured out
  • Amazing premise. Detrimental to souls.

I understand that there are operating costs to a business model where voice actors must be paid, but it is detrimental to souls to restrict the Word of God to a single reading plan that the administrators chose. People read at their own pace, with their own priorities, and with certain goals. Restricting the Bible in this way not only reduces the autonomy of the user, but it also tethers their spiritual life to a subscription model which is already so prevalent in our culture—a product of commercialism. Do not lock God’s Word behind a paywall, lest you become like the Pharisees in the Temple.
