Description

Brain Training with 40Hz Gamma Light and 40Hz Sound HIGHLIGHTS • Use 40Hz gamma light alone or combine with brain games • 40+ cognitive games designed for people with low computer skills: Sudoku, Tic-Tac-Toe, Clocks, and other brain games, from very easy to challenging • A personalized Life Coach that includes Guided Meditations, Exercises, Daily Planner, and more New research suggests that light and sound delivered at a certain frequency —40 flashes or clicks per second — appear to restart the natural 40Hz gamma rhythm of the brain and improve the brain functions. Separately, research has also shown that cognitive exercises could have a major effect on improving memory. The synergistic combination of 40Hz gamma light, sound and brain training games has the potential to improve the brain’s function better than either of these approaches alone by starting a positive feedback loop: 40Hz light could initiate neuronal synchronization that could trigger improved cognitive function, that, in turn, could trigger more neuronal synchronization. HOW IT WORKS AlzLife delivers a combination of 40Hz light, 40Hz sound, cognitive exercises, and a personalized Life Coach in a single, easy-to-use, convenient package. HOW TO USE ALZLIFE We recommend using your AlzLife app for one hour a day. If the 40Hz gamma frequency flicker is too bothersome, start using the app with the light settings set to a minimum. Most people will get used to the flicker over several sessions. If you stop noticing the flicker, you may want to increase the intensity within the app’s Settings. Start with games you are familiar with, then continue with as many games as possible. We recommend starting at an easy level and slowly increasing the game difficulty to a level that is challenging but not uncomfortable. COMPATIBLE DEVICES The 40Hz gamma light function of AlzLife requires the refresh rate of your device’s screen to be 120Hz. Devices with the required refresh rate include iPad Pro 2017 and newer and iPhone 13 Pro and newer. All other devices (including all other iPhones, iPads, smartphones, and laptops) operate at 60Hz. SUBSCRIPTION The FREE version of AlzLife provides access to 40Hz gamma light, 40Hz gamma sound, and easy level of each game. More challenging levels require a subscription. The most popular subscription plan is $79.99 yearly and pays for the development of new cognitive activities that are added each month. • Subscription will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. • Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. • You can turn off auto-renewal by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that plan. Full terms of service can be found at https://www.alz.life/terms-of-service/ Privacy Policy: https://www.alz.life/privacy-policy/ This app has not been approved by FDA for cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease. It is intended for maintaining and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.

  • Maybe it works, sure looks like a cash grab.

Claims ‘all proceeds go to alzheimer’s research’. Okay, where?MIT, where the idea came from? There is another app with similar light and sounds at $3 lifetime this app is $200, lifetime, $10 a month or $80/year. Yes it has a lot of games. Most you can play free on line. I play Sudoku on line, free at all levels. The free games on this app are for 4 year olds. Hoping for MIT to offer an app, THAT I could trust.
  • Not the cure all we had hoped for

We have been using this app for my mom for over 9 months - at least an hour a day and haven’t missed a day. She has completed over 386 hours and 21,000 games in that time. While it has help to relieve anxiety and improve sleep it hasn’t helped with short term memory or retaining how to perform daily activities. We are grateful for what it has helped her with but disappointed it hasn’t helped with memory and performing daily activities- which is steadily declining. Hopefully others will see better results than my mom.
  • I love the idea and the science but…

The user experience and user interface need serious improvement.
  • Great app that anyone above 55y should consider for its excellent convenience, and power.

I recommend to all of my patients above 55, and have recommended to my fellow neurologists and family docs. Optimal use combines an iPad Pro of recent vintage as described in instructions. It can be supplemented with a YouTube app for 40Hz hifi sound, headphones and the 40Hz light in the app. Try the Mahjong.

i’m 74. over the past several years, i’ve noticed “senior moments” a couple times per month. e.g. i’d go to the kitchen and then not remember what i was going to get. this isn’t a big deal really. that’s happened occasionally most of my life. but it’s been more frequent recently. i read about the 40 hz phenomenon in some science publication and built my own 40 hz sawtooth wave generator in software. i used it several hours per day for about a week. i noticed no particular effect from using it but... it’s been more than 6 months since then and i’ve not had a single “senior moment” since then. i now use this app instead of the 40 hz file i created. i’m not sure how often to use it now because, i still haven’t had any “senior” episodes so i do it occasionally.

So I’m a senior on social security. Was so excited until I saw that my 9th generation iPad is not useable for your program. Not paying for the whole thing every month if the main idea behind the program is not available. Really bummed.

I’ve been using the ALZLIFE app for 6 years. And it’s the best thing I’ve ever spent money on. It’s been a game changer. It so very easy to use. So many different therapy options. Something for everyone. And it give you the feeling that your doing something positive for yourself. I had my yearly visit with my neurologist. He was very pleased with my progress. In fact I answered his questions better that when I was first diagnosed. As good as ALZLIFE is, and it surely is. You have to do other things to help yourself, proper diet, read daily, go for a short walk, anything to keep your mind active. Highly recommend this app. Tree top 1
  • Thoughtless design

Thoughtless design aspects: 1. Author erroneously believes that he can’t provide 40Hz stimulation via a 60Hz screen. This may be the case if you insist on 100% modulation intensity, but it is likely not the case if you provide sinusoidal modulation. 2. Author recommends use of external audio, but then does not use the APIs that make audio output selection available inside the app.
  • After 2 weeks app won’t launch.

After 2 weeks app won’t launch. Returns an error, try it again. Multiple tries still won’t launch. I’ve deleted the app and reloaded and still won’t work. Permanently delegated.

The games are very poor quality, and sitting down to play them for an hour a day just got to be more than I wanted to fiddle with. As for the subscription, it was easy to subscribe, not so easy to unsubscribe.
