Very inconsistent tracking which totally ruins the whole purpose of the app. We bought 3 bottles. Super disappointed! Sending all 3 bottles back.

Update 7/26/21: Like the other recent review said, it has completely stopped working with the most recent update. Despite my critiques in my original review, I did enjoy tracking my water intake with this bottle and now it doesn’t work at all! Please update again. Original review: I agree with another post. It’s annoying that there isn’t a continuous sync. I have to physically open the app even though it’s running in the background. Often times my daily intake is inaccurate because it doesn’t measure all the water I’m drinking (again because I’m not constantly opening the app). I also noticed syncing issues when the bottle is motion (carrying it in my bag and drinking at a different location). As a product manager myself, I’m not sure why they didn’t prioritize Apple health integration and the ability to have more than one bottle (I’d like to keep one at work and home). Instead they prioritized a breathe feature...I see how that is somewhat related but maybe should have been done after other features. Given how delayed they were in shipping the bottles, I’m surprised they didn’t have more time add Apple health. Pretty sure this is my first review on the App Store because I need them to read this and fix the bottle. Paying like $70 for bottle and for it to be inaccurate is just absurd. Otherwise, the design and bottle are gorgeous.

As annoying as it was to have to open the app to sync data this new update made the bottle useless. Nothing syncs anymore. All previous data is gone. I have two really expensive water bottles now. That’s it. Tells me to drink but doesn’t record it.

Please.

I don’t know if they actually look at these reviews, but I would LOVE for them to update the app so it live updates the water tracking instead of having to open the app each time to refresh. I use this app in correlation with another water tracking app so I can have the watch complication on my watch and I would love to see the water intake just update automatically instead of having to manually go into the app to update my water intake. I would love to just look down at my watch and know I need to keep drinking more. It’s the little things, but I think it would make a huge difference! Please please consider!

It is not reliable, it does not sync...

I love this app and the bottle, but I’m pretty upset that with the most recent iPhone software update, this app couldn’t keep up. There were no updates on the app’s end, so when the new iPhone software came out, I lost ALL of my Equa data. The bottle unpaired and I had to go through the set up all over again. Can you make it so there’s a login so upon logging in, I can get my data back? Or make this app available to sync with iCloud so it can be backed up? This was a huge bummer. Otherwise, love it. But this has to be fixed :(

I love love love using this bottle, it’s helped me so much with my water intake. After tracking with it since June, I was happy to see patterns and things in my drinking habits that helped me improve. Unfortunately, I just updated my phone to iOS 13, and now ALL the days (even that of the morning before the update) is gone.. Even though I paired my bottle as an already activated bottle. I understand the tracker most likely has it’s data collection limits, but I think it would be nice to allow users to create an account or some kind of way to store the data from the app in the cases of phone change or updates. Hope this suggestions comes through 😌🙌🏼

Update Aug 2019: Dropped another star. Last update has a serious bug that has suddenly caused significant over estimating of water amounts. Heard same from another user. For example, today I’ve drunk 2 full bottles so far, 46 oz. App says 88 oz. That’s a serious flaw. Got my Equa bottle and it is a beautiful and high quality product for sure. App is nice, but will give it a 5 when 2 upgrades are made to the app. I definitely want Apple Health integration. That’s a must in the health field, but I get that probably takes approval time. That will make this 4 star. Adding an Apple Watch app will make this 5 star perfect!

The bottle is not sinking with app if u don’t long in to it. Also its not integrated with apple watch or apple home kit. I think that for this price and long time creating it this is unacceptable.
