I used Nest Payroll to pay my nanny. Our situation was relatively complicated and the customer service was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with completing payroll and tax information. They were also super punctual, understanding, and patient. Absolutely recommend Nest Payroll!

Originally to hire a nanny I was trying to use SurePayroll, but they required me to call their salesperson constantly to get setup, and the process was onerous involving contracts to sign, credit checks, and even needing a letter from my bank. I eventually gave up after months of this annoying process and tried Nest instead. To my amazement, I didn’t need to talk to anyone or even wait at all, and within literally 5 minutes was generating paystubs for my nanny!

I had a generally good experience with Poppins Payroll, but was looking for something a bit less costly and still competent, thus far Nest has been great.

They advertised themselves as covering my state on their website. But once I signed up I found out that they do not cover employee withholding for state taxes in my state. They were very nice and the customer service was responsive. They told me that household employees in my state don’t legally need the employer to do withholding, so the don’t cover it. They suggested my employee do estimated tax payments and even volunteered to walk her through it. However I was able to find another payroll agency that would do the state withholding, so canceled with Nest and went with the other company. Good/responsive customer service, but they clearly don’t offer quite as much service as the bigger agencies, and they didn’t voluntarily advertise that they don’t fully cover my state.

It was so tempting for us to hire a nanny for cash just based on the fear of doing the payroll requirements but I’m so glad that reasonable temperaments prevailed and we instead went with Nest. It’s been so easy and we can rest assured that we are doing everything by the book.

Great app and support staff. They make managing and paying employees very simple. They provide excellent documentation and support to help you make tax payments throughout the year and so it’s easy to file your tax return. Very responsive when asked questions. Priced just right too.

Nest, both the app and the team behind it, have made employing a nanny for our family so easy. No stress about paperwork and taxes - they handle it all. And anytime I have questions they are responsive and helpful. I genuinely appreciate how effortless they make it.
