Now that my free one-week trial is over and I’ve paid for the year, the app is dwelling far too long on situations I don’t need for my assimilation. How many lessons do we need about ordering Mexican food at a food truck. I have moved to Spain, and I’m trying to learn the language so I can converse with the locals. And I think I know the difference between a taco and a quesadilla. I want to know language construct, conjugation, etc., not the difference between taco de lengua and taco al pastor. None of that is going to help me in day-to-day conversations, cultural assimilation, or even watching American movies dubbed in Spanish. Tom Cruise did not order quesadillas de pollo once in the last Mission: Impossible movie.

I think that it is so awesome, it’s really helping me pronunciation and comprehend French when I hear it. The only thing is that I feel like you have to pay for EVERYTHING.

It won’t let me choose the language I want to learn it just defaults to teaching me English

Wanted to give this app a try and it wasn’t for me, so I cancelled my subscription. After they proceeded to charge me for another month, I requested a refund through Apple (still waiting on their decision). As other reviewers have commented, they make it extremely difficult to completely cancel your subscription and will reply with a copy/paste with response with resolving the issue. I had considered revisiting the app at a later date, but now I definitely will not after this experience. Do better.

This is such an amazing app. The only thing that could make it better is ads, that way those of us who cannot afford a subscription can still find a way to indirectly pay to use the app without buying one.

Why are there 30 different subscriptions all titles the same or slightly different. I dont know how to subscribe or what each level gets me

I love this app this is only my first day using it and I already know how to greet on Spanish

The app is different from other apps, it teaches you and let you speak to practice the speaking as well. It also explains things, it doesn’t only teach you words. You can write in case you can’t speak, so overall I’m having a great experience.
