Fix your Apple TV app. The audio is out of buffer with the video. Only app that has this problem on my device. And force quitting the app just is a temporary fix.

One of the worst. Can’t rewind, fast forward or pause or the entire show starts over every time!! Horrible.
  • Terrible glitches for an app that requires a subscription

I rarely write reviews but this app is just unbelievably bad… I downloaded the app with the hopes of watching a specific episode of a show I love. Firstly, the ads are like 6-7 minutes long when the runtime between episodes feels way shorter than the ads themselves. When I tried to monitor how long a single ad was, the timer would count down from 7 seconds, freeze at 4 seconds, then jump up to 11 seconds (the ad was about 3 minutes). Initially I wasn’t mad about it however, it turned an hr long episode into a 3 hr episode because some advertisements would start over completely. If there was any interference with my internet connection, the app would freeze, quit out & when I would reopen the app I would have to wait another 6-7 minutes. If this were an app that didn’t require a paid subscription, I wouldn’t be as pressed to write about this but since it does, save your money!!

  • For $25 a month, this isn’t worth it. Get MAX by HBO instead.

The way this app functions is so confusing, glitchy, and frankly annoying as heck. For $25 I expect better. I can barely watch an episode of a show without having to close the app and restart due to glitching and buffering, even if I have full bars and use my data (which normally works with no issues). Get MAX by HBO over this. Not worth it, the only good thing about this app is the shows and movies they have available. IF you can actually watch them.

I love Philo. Lots of great channels. I love watching ID on demand. My other favorites are Great American Family and the 2 Hallmark channels. During Christmas in July and from the end of October to January 1st those 3 channels are on 24)7. Christmas movies are great!!
  • The worst app I’ve wasted time on

Got this because of all the good reviews and a show I wanted to watch. First off, the price is outrageous given that this comes with commercials. It’s more than double the cost of several commercial-free apps I enjoy and almost ten times the cost of other streaming services with ads. For the price, you would expect an amazing app. But no. This is by far the biggest app I’ve suffered through. Everything I try to do kicks me out of the show I’m watching. When I try to get back to the show, I first have to watch a commercial to even start it, even though I was in the middle of an episode. If I have to rewind or fast forward, I’m forced to sit through commercials even though they already played the first time. I can’t skip them to get to my spot. And you can’t pause in a commercial if you need to do something that takes longer than the 2-4 minutes of commercials, meaning I either have to turn off the app or walk away and rewind, which forces me to watch commercials yet again. Basically it’s $25/mo for hours of commercials with maybe a few minutes of disjointed show sprinkled in.
