This app will burn a hole in you wallet. You have to use coins to unlock each chapter yet you get tokens when you complete task and missions that don’t translate to the coins needed to unlock the chapter. Now you’re racking up on tokens that you can’t use on the chapters. Other reading apps at least give the option to watch ads to unlock a chapter instead of coming out of pocket. Also to make it worse authors will sometimes drag the stories out which will result in having to pay even more JUST to unlock the chapter.

On the iPhone using Zoe advance voice. If any of the following happens - get a call - notification - alarm goes off (reproducible) it interrupts the audio (offline mode) for WebNovel and it cannot recover. I have to close down WebNovel completely to restart the audio for the chapter. Even pausing the audio disrupts offline mode and play button doesn’t restart the audio The app is unusable Very sad about this as it was working a couple of weeks ago without issues I wish the developers well and hope they have time to fix it. Listening to long books often times revels that every now and then the language changes from English to Spanish and sometimes other languages happens at least once a chapter o yah and its expensive ti unlock books but everyone already knew that

Im was on the app using the audio book feature which I love and the audio book feature randomly changes to siri without my input

I like to listen to Webnovel while doing other things but sometimes when I’m in online mode it will switch to voices in other languages that are unintelligible so I will listen in offline mode instead. Now offline mode seems to be broken, as in it speed reads through the chapters so the only option to listen is online mode and hope that the other voices are few and far between.

I don’t know why, but the offline reading function has started malfunctioning with the reading function. It’s essentially reading the first few words of a paragraph before moving on to the next all at what sounds like a mile a minute.

The developers of this app somehow manage to break or remove a useful feature with every single update. I’m done. The app crashes more than ever, the reading list button is hidden, and offline books often fail to load. You now need Wi-Fi just to start offline read-aloud — what’s the point of it being offline then? The most recent update made things even worse: using filters now just loops the same 8 books endlessly, and offline read-aloud is completely broken. It’s honestly unbearable at this point. Do they even test the app before pushing updates? It really shouldn’t be this hard. The saddest part is, it was fine a year ago, the app rarely crashed and the features were fine. Now it’s just frustrating to use.
