I recently learned that I have type 2 diabetes and was enrolled in a health program to help transition into a plant based lifestyle in order to reverse my diabetes. I was initially so overwhelmed with the idea of meal planning that I hesitated to even try. I constantly purchased random things that didn’t go together or I would meal prep something I’d get sick of by day 3. I learned of this app from my favorite cozy influencer on Instagram and gave the trial a try. It’s so easy to use, I love being able to upload recipes and having all ingredients organized for my grocery list. I’ve been able to try new recipes because I’m not so overwhelmed with the process of writing or typing everything into my notes app. I’ve also got more variety to my diet now that I’ve got the hang of it. Such a great app!
  • Shopping list needs MAJOR work

I love this app better than most other meal planner apps but the shopping list is not smart at all. It adds every single ingredient from your recipes automatically, with no option to leave off staples like salt/pepper etc. It also doesn’t recognize repeats from recipes is they’re even the slightest bit different. For example if one recipe calls for “pepper” the next “Pepper” and the next “ground pepper” all 3 of those will be automatically be added to the grocery list when I would like none of them to be, I have pepper at home at all times. This causes me to have huge grocery lists with 80+ items and MULTIPLE repeats. I really hope this gets an overhaul or something because it pretty much renders the grocery list section of the app moot because it’s easier to make a list somewhere else.

No more FOMO when I see a recipe online. Easy cut and paste link feature allows me to capture and save any recipe from the various food blogs I follow. And the search and ratings features help me find and curate my recipe library. I use it daily!!!

I’ve used Plan to Eat for over a decade and I can’t imagine life without it!! I’m not one of those super intense meal planning types, but I have all my recipes in this app and it’s so simple to select what I want to cook each week and it makes my grocery list for me, organized by section at the store. It saves me a ton of money and time because I don’t aimlessly browse the store buying stuff I don’t need. I love being able to sort, tag, and filter my recipes and print them with tidy formatting or, for simple recipes, I just follow the instructions straight from my phone or tablet.

I’ve been using for some years now. Hands down the best app for importing/collecting recipes from the web, making meal planning easy and preparing shopping lists. I also like how they make it easy to export recipes. Keep up the great work!

I’ve been using the app for over 5 years- love it! The money I’ve saved by meal planning and the shopping list have easily paid for the annual fee!

I can not begin to praise this app enough! While I am newly retired, I babysit my grandchildren during the week so meal planning is still a big issue for us. I love the generated grocery list, which we use on weekends for ONE shopping trip! The section to keep track of items in the freezer is amazing! (I try to bulk cook at least one recipe a week to share with my adult kids because I know they are busy too). I love that I can snag recipes from social media and save them in my recipe book without printing them out. I love that I can share the weekly menu with hubs! There are many more things to love about this app! Just try it!!!!!
