    I’m a type A and love to plan. This app is wonderful! I love the recommendations and customizations. I plan my clothes a little differently for trips, but I was able to remove the default recommendations and enter my own plus add my own categories. As a woman, I like a hair checklist and skin care checklist and make up checklist. It was so easy to create! The only thing that could make this app perfect, in my eyes, would be the ability to reorder the items in a list (drag them up/down). Maybe it’s there and I couldn't figure it out?

    This is a short review since I’ve only used the app for a couple of minutes. But I’m planning a trip to Hawaii with my family and the app has been pretty good for the most part, a lot of stuff is hidden behind premium blockers, but the app is still functional if you don’t want to pay. I also like the fact it has things you can do in the area that you’re traveling for so you don’t have to do it separately. Pretty good all things together. However, I wish a few premium options would be available in the free version. Like adding notes to certain items. That’s all from me folks!

    I’ve used Packr as a Premium user since 2019 and rely on it to help me take the right things for all my travel. I love the standard lists AND the ability to add custom lists to fit my unique needs. For example, sometimes traveling with a cello, sometimes traveling with just a carry-on or sometimes traveling with checked bag(s) — 100% necessary to take hiking poles, for example. Customizable to business or leisure trips or both. Jeremie is always super-responsive to any questions, and especially was a joy to work with to troubleshoot a self-induced issue from not updating the app for a really, really long time (oops!). I’m impressed with the continual improvement in the app, and I love having the ability to print lists, too! I have a lot of things I keep pre-packed and ready-to-go, and having a printed list stored with the physical things makes it SO easy!

    Overall it’s a good app for packing and planning trips, but there is this one issue. For some reason whenever I try to say the amount of each item I’d like to bring, it just goes back to the little plus sign that you click when you want to type in the amount. Great app, but could any editors that are reading this possibly acknowledge this problem, thx!

    I love how I can save different lists for different activities / types of trips and refine them over time. There are a couple of things that have changed with more recent versions that annoy me, but they’re minor: like how when you tap on an item name, rather than checking it off it opens an unneeded “details” window. And as I’m checking things off they don’t disappear until I refresh the view.

    The developer fixed the bug, I’ll try to give it another try. -original review: First time using app, I was trying to create a multi destination packing list but unfortunately the month of June-2024 had only 29 days listed, the 30th is not there at all so I could not add my 1 stop of the trip. The purpose was to properly organize by dates but that’s was the end of my planning. I did email developer but have not heard anything yet and my trip is approaching so I’ll have to find an alternative.

    I have used Packr on iPhone and iPad for years. I did not realize there was a Mac app until about a year ago so I downloaded it. I have tried different packing list apps and packing list methods over the years including a spreadsheet, Notes, a Word document, and other packing list apps. I even tried Macsparky's Reminders packing list idea. I always come back to Packr. Why have I tried other apps if I like Packr? Because I like to try new apps! But I will not stray again. Packr just works for me. I like that I can make different lists for different needs for different trips and reuse them over and over. This app will work fine for one person planning to pack for that person or for a family (like a mom and dad) packing for a family. All you have to do is go to Settings - Synchronize with another device - Great Sync Code. Copy the code, and then open Packr on the other device you want to use for packing planning. Go to Settings - Synchronize with another device - Type Sync Code. Paste the code in from the first device and your packing lists and trips are synced! Very easy. Very convenient. Excellent app! And with the recent updates with new color icons, Packr is even better. Thank you for a great app!
