Description

Nintendo's hit strategy-RPG Fire Emblem series, which has been going strong for more than 30 years, continues its journey on smart devices. This is your adventure—a Fire Emblem that's like nothing you've seen before! This application is free to download and offers some optional in-app purchases. ■ An epic quest The game features an ongoing, original story where new characters and dozens upon dozens of battle-tested Heroes from across the Fire Emblem universe meet. There are over 2,400 story stages available as of August 2024! (This total includes all difficulty modes.) Clear these story stages and you'll earn Orbs, which are used for summoning Heroes. New story chapters are added frequently, so don't miss out! ■ Intense battles Take part in strategic turn-based battles streamlined for on-the-go play with maps that fit in the palm of your hand! You'll need to think hard about the advantages and disadvantages of each Hero's weapon...and even evaluate the map itself as you battle. Lead your army with easy touch-and-drag controls, including the ability to attack by simply swiping an ally over an enemy. New to strategic turn-based battles? Don't worry! Use the Auto-Battle option to have your characters fight on their own. ■ Strengthen your favorite Heroes There are many ways to strengthen your allies: leveling, skills, weapons, equipable items, and more. Take your characters to greater and greater heights as you battle for victory. ■ Replayable modes In addition to the main story, there are many other modes where you can strengthen your allies, compete against other players, and more. ■ Original characters meet legendary Heroes The game features numerous Hero characters from the Fire Emblem series and brand-new characters created by artists Yusuke Kozaki, Shigeki Maeshima, and Yoshiku. Some Heroes will fight at your side as allies, while others may stand in your way as fierce enemies to be defeated and added to your army. * Internet connectivity required to play. I started Fire Emblems with Fire Emblem Engage, and the graphics certainly don’t disappoint. The game is also just amazing in general, though you will be tempted to spend money.

The title says it all. Not only is it the usual pay-to-win gacha schlock, it's not even worth paying anymore because whatever shiny new god tier unit just got released this week will be obliterated as an example of just how spine-snappingly powerful the next week's unit will be. But if you want to stay competitive, you had better be grinding out summoning 11 copies of these characters every week or so to max out their stats plus getting ahold of others for skill inheritance, all through one of the worst gacha systems I've ever seen with AAA branding attached to it. This game does not respect your time or effort. It's only guiding principle is a genuinely unplayable rate of obscene powercreep with the explicit goal of getting you to open your wallet, over and over and over again.

The top review at the time of writing says you have to post money or you aren’t winning. The go on to talk about how they spent a bunch of money on Feh Pass, Resplendants (skins), and Orb packs, and still lost. Somehow that equates to money winning in their mind. The game is extremely generous to new players making it easy to get orbs and start pulling if you just play the story. I’ve barely spent money on this game, just the occasional month or two of Feh pass, mostly for convenience. The banners have pretty good odds compared to most other gacha’s, and most of them let you spark (pick a unit on the banner for free after 40 summons, ~180 orbs). This guy was losing because he didn’t actually understand the units or the strategy, and was just throwing stuff out. This is how a lot of people play because the game has evolved to be very complex, and powercreep and created a pretty centralized meta. Still, it requires a lot of planning, optimization, and a little creativity to play well. It’s a strategy game after all. The game is a lot of fun and you can make most any unit do pretty well outside of the highest levels of PvP, and most players love spoiling their favorite units with resources and skills. Me and my friends have been playing for years and constantly debate what the best builds are for certain units and the like. If you feel lost and don’t understand what makes a unit good or not, try joining the Discord and watch some Phoenixmaster1 videos on YouTube. Remember to save your orbs, do your weeklies, and most importantly, have fun!
  • Filtering Skills for Inheriting

Can we please get a filter where we can filter out the movement type (Infantry, armor, Calvary, Flier) so we are able to search specific skills rather than read each single one while viewing what can’t be used on it? That would help out a lot with building characters with the proper skills without the confusion as to why a certain skill won’t work.

  • Power creep is bad

Weapon triangle doesn’t matter anymore due to power creep . The skills/weapons of these units are the entire length of my phone, it’s become a pain at this point to read it. And so much math involved. Using old units not viable anymore and personally takes away some of the fun. Why put in effort to build up a unit when a new one can tear it down in a single attack? I’ve been playing since the beginning but the last year has just been awful, can barely play anymore.
  • a very user unfriendly experience

this game is a complete pay to win dumpster fire that treats any investment in the characters you’re lucky to even get like theyre trash. the developers have made it loud and clear this game is only here to tame your money and leave you with some momentary satisfaction if youre even lucky enough to get that if you dont pay money for every new character that comes out you might as well nit even play the game.

The game is really good if you are a hardcore fan of FE series since they have all heroes from all the games including the ones with special event theme. However, remove the IP, the actual gameplay is not much. It's kinda slow for progression since each hero have some kind of flaw and you have to find the right fodders only to complete 1 perfect hero. I think it could take months to complete 1 team of 4 for free players. Though the game is quite generous and you can actually complete the game with the team they provide, but to complete others is another story. And since the main point of the game is collecting FE heroes, if you are not a hardcore fan of FE like me, you can see some familiar faces and its not worth my time for the grinding. Still, it's worth for a try a least.
