    First, an unrelated comment: I concur with the other reviewers who have noted the declining quantity and quality of the writing in The Athletic Magazine since the New York Times’ acquisition. I hope every subscriber is able to find some way to resubscribe using a discount code or other cost-cutting method if they choose to continue reading. Now, my feature request: please, PLEASE add some simple-to-use method by which I can mute particular commenters who make it their habit to junk up the comments with absolutely bottom of the barrel ““hot takes”” that are wholly without any insight, creativity or analytical value. For all I know, some subscribers have probably implemented “first comment!” bots, thanks to Chat-GPT web-code autogeneration. Ursula D. especially comes to mind, though I’m sure there are others. 🔥

    Today is last day of Tour de France and just did a search for articles on the TDF and found only one about a cyclist being fined!! Nothing else about the race. Surprised there is not daily coverage. The biggest cycling race in the world and the Times doesn’t cover it?!?!?

    The front page of the app is broken, it will show you the same story for weeks on end even after you’ve read it, even though the actual categories you’re following have multiple new articles each day

    Used to like the athletic. Now, there is just really not enough coverage of teams. MLB draft comes, no team analysis written. Summer league for nba, nothing about my teams games and analysis. World is ripe for a better product again
