  • Does Not Request Microphone Permissions

The app constantly complaints about a "Microphone Permission Error," asking me to "grant permissions to the microphone for this app," but it won't actually request the permission. I've reset the permissions (tccutil reset Microphone), but still, nothing. I'm not using the softphone and only want the app to redirect a call from my desktop to mobile, but still, nothing.
  • Is it possible to get worse? Yes

What is the purpose of the MiCollab app for MacOS? To use the softphone to make calls? Well that feature doesn't work. Has never worked. Still doesn't work even after the latest update. My IT folks tell me it's not our server, it's the software. So, this software works as a way to listen to voicemails, which is worth something (I guess?). Also, the latest version requests "microphone" permissions, but if you go in settings, it's actually asking only for camera permissions, not microphone. They can't even get that right...
  • New Update Crashes Constantly

This app worked great till newest update, now it crashed after every call and had to disable floatig window that exacerbated the problem
  • Is this app really free? What is authentication code?

Why there is no word about a need for authentication code before you download the app? I believe it is deception of Mitel company to pretend they provide free app, while actually you have to pay for using app. This app should be deleted from Apple Store as misleading as it is not free, but advertised as free! By facts it is a fraudulent action.
  • Add Menubar Support

When I minimize I want to be able to access the app controls from the Menubar!
  • Works but very susceptible to slightest network latency

I’m generally pleased with the functionality but very, very frustrated that the slightest network latency causes the audio to stutter and skip. I’ve used many VOIP-type products for years and expect audio-only services to perform top-notch in 2018. I routinely get better and consistent audio quality with any number of other audi apps (FaceTime, Skype, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, GotoMeeting, Zoom, and many, many others).
  • Making progress

Originally I was pretty heavy handed on this application as it did not support bluetooth and other devices correctly. Since then Mitel has been working hard behind the scenes to fix all of the shortcomings. Today I can give this application a 4 star rating since they resolved all of the issues that we used to experience. The newest version 8.1 is definitely a step in the right direction but we would like to see more features ported from handsets such as echo cancellation and whitenoise background reduction.
  • Great so far, but could use one major tweak

This is the kind of app that you just leave open on your Mac, particularly when your desk phone is a big part of your job. So much so that it feels awkward as having it appear in the Dock all the time. It seems like it should be in the menu bar. The exact same app, but anchored to a drop down menu from the menu bar. I’ve seen other apps that offer this kind of split functionality, where a simple checkbox in Preferences defines whether the app displays “In Dock” or “In Menu.” This app would be perfect if I could just access it from my menu bar. Thanks for the consideration!
  • Sound Issues

My tech’ team can’t resolve the sound issues within the MacOS Client for MiCollab - It’s not network related (the usually response we get) as myself and number of other Mac users use Wifi, the same Wifi which works fine with MiCollab on the iPhone, Android and Windows.
