  • Why not for tvOS?

Why isn’t there a tvOS app for this? I hate using screen mirroring - it would be super simple to create this app for the Apple TV!
  • Glitches prevents me from logging in

Your sign in area on the app won’t allow me to enter my email address. There is some programming glitch in the app that won’t allow for this. When I type in my email address, the word “email” doesn’t go away in the text box. It’s suppose to disappear as I type in my email address in that text box. It’s as if I’m typing right over the word “email”Also, the continue button is shaded out. I can’t go any further than this sign in screen. I haven’t been able to ever access this app in years.
  • In progress list

Some courses will not show up under in progress list even if you started them already. Terrible management for multiple courses you’re doing at the same time
  • Chromecast -> Cast icon no longer appearing

Would have given this app five stars but since my primary way of viewing LinkedIn Learning course videos is by casting on my TV, and LinkedIn Learning still doesn’t have a tvOS app in 2023, I have used Chromecast. Now, the Cast icon no longer appears on course videos to be able to watch them on your TV. Although the option to cast via AirPlay is available, this does not even work as the video will not play and a red x will appear over the video timeline. There are currently ZERO ways to watch LinkedIn Learning courses on your TV. This entire product revolves around teaching technological skills and you’ve let one of the primary ways customers view your content, break, not fix, and not even address it! I am genuinely curious how you’re management isn’t embarrassed by this? People have been complaining about this since December 2021! (Google it if you don’t want to take my word for it) Meanwhile Udemy has; a functioning Apple TV, AirPlay support that works, and Chromecast cast support that works every time. Is LinkedIn Corp sunsetting/exiting this business line? It seems like it’s no longer being supported and I can only guess, people are going elsewhere for this content. To people thinking of subscribing: DON’T. App breaking bugs don’t even get acknowledged after 2 YEARS. Spend your money with Udemy, Coursera, or one of the other dozens of educational content providers that actually put effort into their platform. LinkedIn Learning is not what it used to be when it was Lynda, I mean, even Lynda had a native tvOS and casting ability and it’s probably close to a decade old! I’m done supporting this product until they fix their broken platform. Not another penny from me. I’ll go elsewhere, as I’m sure others already have.
  • STOP AUTOPLAYING

All autoplaying settings are turned off, so why are courses autoplaying when initially opened! The fact this wasn’t caught in QA is concerning.
  • No support for media player control with keyboard keys

They need to add support for using the space bar to play/pause and the arrow keys to seek forwards and backwards while their media player has focus.
  • Wish I could afford

I downloaded the app, excited I might be able to learn skills for getting an at home job (I am severely disabled & homebound). I love the variety of classes offered and I appreciate the month free, but I can’t afford the subscription fee on my fixed income. Sorry.

In the LinkedIn app I was invited to take a course, but it was not until the end that I realized it was impossible to take the quiz until I provided payment information for a “free trial.” I would appreciate greater transparency, going forward.
  • Don't pay for it

Have not gotten a single certificate as promised in ANY course with LinkedIn learning sponsored by Microsoft "Career essentials" learning paths. After HOURS of learning watching and doing, I leave LinkedIn learning for the millionth time, with no way to earn, share, or add my certificate to my LinkedIn profile. Again. Do not pay for it.
