During difficult times like these, this app brings me a lot of joy! It’s so nice to know I’m helping stop food waste while also getting a great deal. I wish there were more opportunities like this.

First time trying the app, got all excited, was heading to the store to pick up the food and they canceled. Trash app. Don’t download it.

Let me start by saying I rarely leave reviews it’s not my thing and if I do it’s typically because I love something not because I hate it or want to complain but with this app I’m just too repeatedly disappointed, I just had to… I don’t know if it’s my area or what it is but these restaurants have been awful! My family and I have tried so many and have been disappointed in all but ONE! The selection of restaurants and stores are drowned out by all the gas station and Dunkin’ Donuts offers. Which I must say are also are no good! It’s sad because I was so excited about this app and I had recommended this app to others and know others that already had it that have had the same experiences I have. The restaurants are giving little to nothing. One place gave a croissant! ONE croissant after driving 30 minutes each way to pick it up but they had tons of items in the display. What is that?! Also one place wasn’t even a store or restaurant it was someone selling food in their personal home driveway!!! And although I reported this to the app and that it didn’t feel safe so i didn’t proceed with the order, the company still shows up on there! Some food isn’t even eatable due to being hard and dried out from sitting under a heating lamp, stale, melted, smooshed, or tastes expired even if it says it isn’t. And reaching out to TGTG for some assistance with that is pointless as their response basically is that you get what you pay for and read our disclaimer. And I understand the disclaimer of the app that the condition won’t be perfect but come on have a little decency. I am not out here trying to beg for cheap food and am homeless and starving. In fact I don’t mind and DO pay top dollar for GOOD food on a regular basis but the purpose for this app was to genuinely be able to try to sample things from new places and perhaps some of our regular places to find a new favorite spot or treat. Also sometimes we do spend money at these establishments when we go so give us some credit! I also think the ratings given of those places on the app are fake or rigged by someone they know. I’m not even sure how this app has 4.9 stars. Maybe they have the same rating system as whatever is rating these restaurants/stores. I’d give this app 0 stars if I could! Again I don’t typically leave reviews especially long ones like this but I feel the need to add a level of caution to those wanting to download it and also potentially bring awareness to the developers so that some things can be reviewed and changed. So if you choose to proceed to try this app be mindful of the things I said. It may not be what you think. I ended up deleting this app after having it for a few months.

A lot of times, you get a great deal while preventing food waste. However, some places are using the app to offload their expiring food and it’s become a real gamble when purchasing a “surprise bag”. I’d stick to bakery or pastries if not a restaurant.

Awesome way to score some great deals and not let food go to waste.
