Nothing genuinely gets me more horny than putting a 5 star on letterboxd, the euphoria I experience is like nothing else.
  • Ruined by ads

The floating ads that block a quarter of the screen and cannot be closed are truly awful. I used to actually browse this app, but now I review a movie and close out. It’s so much less enjoyable.

great app. wish you could review tv shows as well. video games could be cool too but unlikely for the scope of this app.
  • Ads are out of hand

Used to love this app but the ads are really out of hand. Pop up videos that you can’t dismiss? Ridiculous. I’m fine with the banners and such but pop up ads covering the screen is whack.
  • Posters glitching

I renewed my patron subscription and it has not been worth it ever since because when I do update them a lot just stay as the original poster and sometimes lists will glitch and duplicate them for different movies. Fix this or give me my money back

Every time I would attempt to make an account, it would give a “bad URL” message.
  • Great But Hugely Lacking for Patrons

As a Patron User of two years and passionate film fan I’ve spent countless hours perfecting the aesthetic visual design of my profile by customizing my posters to fit my taste. TMDB has set themselves on a vendetta of late against posters they deem “fan art” regardless of whether this is even true or not and Letterboxd has stopped storing such deleted artwork on their site as a result. Letterboxd needs to find a way to give its Patrons a means to upload custom posters to their own profiles directly from their website and stop relying on the whim of the Movie Database to govern our choices, this will enable users such as myself to show our love for cinema in a deeper way and connect better with the Letterboxd community. I understand there’s been mention of supposed copyright issues involved, which is not a subject I hold much knowledge about, but I don’t see how Letterboxd could be held liable for Users simply decorating their personal profiles with posters they’ve customized or enjoy the most. I’m not a great artist, but I’ve taken pride in the art of collection. Collecting posters on my profile is my form of self expression and it feels like it’s becoming stripped again as a result of TMDB. There needs to be a way to resolve this.
  • Please add shows.
