So I downloaded the brave app today, over 12 hours ago. I went through the settings and the privacy features this thing has are amazing. It even comes with a built in AI helper, though I still prefer the grok app since I am used to it. Brave is great in these ways and more but I just tried to open YouTube in private browsing so I don’t get cookies or whatever when I want to watch something I don’t normally watch, but YouTube doesn’t load. I checked in a non private tab and everything works as it should. I would have given the app ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but will give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ because it is a really minor issue all things considered. Anyway I guess I will just have to log out, shred the cookies, watch such content, and then log back in. As stated it’s a minor issue that has an easy work around, but hopefully someone who can do something about whatever is happening will see this and be able to figure out what the bug is and fix it. It’s gotta be a bug right?

Update (7/1/25): I have uninstalled Brave due to continuous nagging over not using their inferior search engine, ad block filters that don’t work on certain websites, the inability to get rid of AI and crypto junk and an alarming use of battery power and resources. I have been forced to back to using Safari with AdGuard installed, even though I despise it. I hate my iPhone more and more each day…

I sometimes forget that Brave is removing ads and trackers. Use something else every once in a while to be reminded how great Brave is. I’m also impressed by how much desktop-level work I can accomplish through Brave on my phone.
