I had a giant PDF that I couldn't figure out how to reduce in size. Preview removed too much resolution, and I won't pay for Adobe. This app did the trick. Highly recommended.

Worked great on a small PDF. Purchased this so I could compress larger ones (>100mb). Kept crashing on several different files. Want my money back.

Cheap, but still a waste of $2. Almost doubled the file size regardless of the many settings options I chose. Went from 19MB to as much as 34MB! Lowest I got was 27MB. I didn’t expect a miracle, but to increase the size was disappointingly unexpected. There’s a bunch of good reviews here, so must work on some files, but to be fair, it may not work on yours.
  • Zero reduction in size lower than what the iMac can do with factory installed options. Waste of $$$

Do not waste your money on this app. The “reduced file size" on a 13MB file was less than 0.1 MB…..keeping the resolution the same made a size INCREASE! Waste of $2. Delete this app from the App Store!
  • DOESNT WORK WELL - Only Compressed 107kb on 7MB PDF

I bought this app to help upload PDF documents to a site that has a 5MB file size limit per upload. I purchased this app and using the MOST compressed file, it only reduced 107kb - from 7.2MB to 7.2MB. Totally worthless. Ended up manually splitting each file in 2 parts using FREE (included with your Mac) Preview Tool. Took me a couple minutes but it actually worked. Waste of $1.99, I would like my money back.

When I saw the low cost, I assumed it would be a simple interface to a quartz filter to reduce filesize, that is already inside Mac OSX. I took a chance and must say the options provide you with a multiple attempt system to get the quality you need at the correct filesize you desire, all before saving the final file. Fantastic program, ran great 1st time, got my work done quickly, no crashes or bugs. Very happy with the affordable price, and the simple easy to use interface. This is a HUGE winner! Thank you for taking something difficult, and making it useful and simple - plus a pleasure to utilize!

After much frustration with reduce file size in Preview (way too much sacrifice in quality) and Acrobat Pro (way too little reduction in file size) I stumbled upon this gem. Unlike the others this program gives you all sorts of compression reduction options so you can choose what level of quality vs file size reduction works best for you. If you work with PDFs you need this program.
