    App no longer shows Live View as an option. I can only see Alerts from previously recorded videos.

    All I am going to say is save your money and time. Zmodo couldn’t care less that you already purchased their cameras and any accessories you purchased to ensure they cover your entire home. The cameras and app are utterly useless now. You get a notification of an event but when you click the notification; nothing happens. Zmodo app opens and you are met with an empty play screen and a picture so small that even the best magnifying glass couldn’t spot a crime in progress. Your safety is not Zmodo’s top priority.. paying for overpriced cloud storage seems to be now! Well I for one will not be supporting there new business model and I highly suggest you do the same. You may be wondering so why the 2 star. Well because the cameras were really easy to setup. At least for me they were.

    Been using Zmodo cameras for the last 5+ years and overall have been happy with my experience; this is the most affordable service of its kind that I have found available. My only gripe is that there is no landscape mode for the main menu, therefore I am constantly having to rotate my screen. Easy enough with a phone but more of a chore when viewing on larger screens.

    Absolutely terrible support. Chat support is a massive waste of time. Phone support is much more efficient. Will never purchase any Zmodo products ever again.

    New request…I have updated my rating from 1-star to 4 since I am not having the issue as much of the app getting stuck on the splash screen or not being able to open my cameras to live view with out restarting. Still happens occasionally though and my internet connection is more than okay. My request now is a “dark mode” for your app…in the middle of the night, it is blinding to open the app with all the WHITE…every app should have this option!!

    Customer service is useless- God forbid you sign up for a subscription, when you cancel your camera no longer saves free 10 second clips unless you upgrade a subscription ! 4 of my cameras worked perfectly until I subscribed for 6 months and cancelled. Now 4 of 8 no longer work! This nasty company disabled my cameras when I chose to cancel the storage plan. Software upgrades disabled another 1 of my cameras. Motion detection quit working on another of my cameras after I paid for storage. Lots of garbage with these cameras and customer service! Don't waste your hard earned money! There are much better cameras out! If you ever get ahold of customer service they will tell you your wifi signal is weak. This is a lie which means "They Don't Know!" 30 other electronics in our home work perfectly until, some are farther away than the ZMODO garbage! 1 camera is 15 feet from the router and failed after a software upgrade. They do NOT back their cameras and will NOT send replacements. NO, the cameras did NOT revert back. That is a lie. That is exactly what didn't happen and my cameras are now stuck in "no view" unless I resubscribe! They are no longer viewable or connected to wifi since I cancelled the subscription. You have rendered them useless. They worked perfectly fine until I subscribed. Poorly written coding!

    Reset passwords and still can’t get into the account. Had these cameras for years and now have a issue….. I’ve emailed and yet they have yet to help deleted the apps reinstalled reset passwords I think they got hacked will be throwing my cameras away I guess… :(
  • ‘Zink’ connection method broken.

    App is totally busted if you have any cams that need to pair with the ‘ZMD_SAP’ method. Tried talking to customer service about this issue but they just cannot get an understanding what I’m trying to explain. QR pairing works fine but if your camera prompts you with a ‘Zink’ connection method, as of right now, your camera is a brick until the app and connection method is fixed.
