  • Glitchy

Glitches a lot and my Apple Pencil doesn’t work with it as smoothly as it should. It gets stuck or won’t select objects or layers after multiple tries even with my fingers. I don’t have an iPad Pro so I can see that my basic 9 tho Gen just can’t keep up but is not bad. I and still learning how to use it and I haven’t used adobe in like a decade but it’s still very much how I remember.

Out of all the apps I’ve tried for vectorizing my jpeg files, including Linearity, this one is a smidget better. Although it does cost money, the yearly plan is about $80 dollars while writing this review and it has a free monthly trial.
  • Separate subscription for mobile?

I have the complete Adobe suite and can access Illustrator on my desktop. When I try to use the iPad version, I keep getting a message that says I need to purchase a monthly mobile subscription. This seems impossible, but I’ve been trying to bypass this screen for 15 minutes and it appears this is the case. Booooo!
  • not worth a subscription

I love adobe, however, when I sign it it freezes on the ‘new document’ page. Can’t click anything.
  • Terrible

The most frustrating part about Adobe Illustrator being so terrible is the amount of people willing to defend it. Simply because they’ve mastered it and they don’t want to admit that it’s a frustrating program. It’s not user friendly. It’s not intuitive. It’s a gate keepy program which forces users to adhere to the pedantic menu and touchy interface before they can create. The issues will not be solved for this reason. Thanks, Adobe.

I wanted a free okay quality illustration app I found adobe illustrator and was thrilled but before you could even open a page it made you pay for either 10 dollars a month or 20 dollars a month this app claims to be for ages four and up but really what four year old is going to pay that… please just make a free version
