    Only had my camera for 26 days and spent more time trying to get everything on the app to load than it was even useful. Don’t waste your time.

    Latest update stopped working w/ my sync and USB module. It's now marking the usb as not compatible. It has been compatible for 1-2 yrs. There was no notification or email warning that the video stopped saving.

    Blink will let you find out you were robbed long after the robbery… Alarm sound… there isn’t any… just the iOS 18 “meh” sound but… The developers think a doorbell camera needs multiple sounds but… The developers think a security camera doesn’t… Sadly… without an alarm, cameras only good for picking up wildlife raiding a bird feeder… and then only well after the fact when you review saved videos… Don’t waste your money!!!

Sometimes your videos are there after 24 hours but most of the time they're gone, up until the last update they hadn't been deleting them as often before 24 hours. Now, sometimes you don't even get 12 hours. ...and that's when they actually record. I know Blink would love to blame my network but everything else is working properly. With this latest update the icon count badge is fked up. >>>>18 December 2022 The latest update killed performance of the cameras. Videos take forever to load. Cameras aren’t triggering to capture movement. The whole system acts like it is shot. I don’t know if that means they have decided they’re going to brick my system or not. The system is two years old, going on three, and grandfathered in to some of Amazon’s better options which are no longer available. This is a 9 camera system, it was a 10 camera system until one of them died just past the warranty expiration. Nothing fixes the problems this system has recently developed. I have restarted all of the hardware including the Comcast router. Currently, I am waiting for an update to the app to see if that fixes it. But there is no way that I will be purchasing Amazon or Blink brand cameras when these cease to function.

    I have two cameras right now and i really do love them! They work great, have pretty good video and sound quality too. I even plan on getting more soon! With that being said I do with they had a 24/7 continuous recording option. I have a cat at home that gets into trouble a lot and it would be nice to be able to see what and how something fully happens! I would also love to see a pet motion capture option so that at certain times i can have that set to only detect animals and not people or something like that! But overall i still love them!

  • iPad app doesn't play video notifcations or clips 11/2024 only live feeds

    I gave this 5 stars so other Apple users could see and find they are not alone with Blink's lack of support and technology. Unfortunately, I work on my iPad, it does not play the video when notifications are received or even clips that are in storage. You can sometimes slide the bar on the clip over and see what is on the video. You can never watch a notification as it received. When I open up the live feed by the time it slowly loads, whatever was there is already at my door or gone on 2 year old Blink camera. The updated Blink camera I bought 7/2024 isn't much faster to load. It's pointless to use 2 pieces of equipment just to see what is on my video system. Even my phone notification is very slow. My wifi system is fast enough to support Blink and all of my Apple devices are up to date as that is the only answer I can find on the Blink website for this glitch. I recently bought a ring doorbell as I am tired of Blink nickel and diming consumers like us in the past 2 years. By the time you purchase their cheap tech that ends up costing more than if I invested in a better system in the first place. Hopefully Ring is of better quality on the app and notification timeliness.

    Cameras never work only a few times strong internet connection when trying to watch live feed cameras experience an issue post for the monthly subscription want to cancel definitely not worth it fine better cameras out there.

  • Very very glitchy and does not record all motion detection

    Overall, the camera is mid, the app is glitchy, the motion detection is less than an ideal. The motion detection light only works if you have a subscription. Very disappointed overall. I would not recommend. Roku cameras are 1000% better. I got this only because Roku did not offer a floodlight that’s wireless. But I would rather have a camera that works than a light that I have to pay $12 a month to use… if it works.

    On latest iOS 18.1 app (16 Pro Max) has problems, opening camera from notifications, the video is black. Relaunching the app fixes this.
